It's that time of year

You think I mean Christmas.
Yes, is it Christ's birthday, but it is also Mountain Cedar Season
"Mountain cedar (or Ashe juniper) is one of the most potent allergens found in Texas. Pollen from mountain cedar is responsible for the mid-winter phenomenon known as cedar fever in central Texas. Pollen is released during December and January and can be carried by prevailing winds all over Texas and beyond. Symptoms include runny nose, a sore throat, and incessant sneezing."
Image result for what is mountain cedar season?
When a large area is in view, it can look like the trees are smoking. :(

With that comes family issues.
DD woke up throwing up.
It is probably sinus issues from Mountain Cedar, but she is miserable.
DS has been staying over for the holidays and he was not feeling well yesterday.
I do hope he didn't bring anything over from the elementary school he works at.
DH was so tired this morning that he didn't go hunting.
Probably Mountain Cedar again.
I'm hanging in there with a sinus headache and a burning throat from Mountain Cedar.

Tis the life of a Texas family with allergies to Mountain Cedar.

On the bright side,
I finished making the lanyards for the family.
They are Christmas gifts that they asked for.

I'm now working on a small pouch for DH to carry his wallet and "stuff" in.
He is now using a plastic baggie. :(
So, I'm making a zippered pouch for him out of camo.
It's not done yet, so I'll have to show in a bit.
