Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.

I used scraps to make the test block I was working on for Midnight Stargazer.

I'm using scraps from the brown scrap drawer for swap blocks.

I am also testing a quilt that I dug in the green scraps.

update

I've been working on the test quilt.
I can't show you the quilt, but the pieces of trimmings from paper piecing.
This is January for my temperature afghan.
I should have been doing this all along, but I wasn't.
I hope to get caught up and can sit down at the end of the month and update for that month.
We had some really cold days and really hot days, but most were normal temps for this time.
I'm doing 10 clusters of low temp color and 10 of the high for the day in Cibolo, TX.

Monday Design Wall

I'm linking to Small Quilts Doll Quilt's Design Wall Monday and Monday Makings.

This is still on my Design Wall but will be coming down soon.
Nothing out of my stash, because I'm helping a friend get these T-shirt quilts done.
When I sewed on the T-shirt quilt, I worked on the blocks for the lap quilt.
I am framing each of the four animals in a different fabric.
I finished the Bear and Wolf panels.
The Eagle panel frame glows.
I really like that fabric.

To the left of the lap quilt is the table runner from a Houston Class.

The Karen Stone log cabins are next to the table runner.
After the lap quilt, I'll be using them as leader/enders.

Now, it is on to paper piecing, and you can't use leader/enders easily on it.

T-shirt quilt

I am putting this together for a friend.
There were so many white shirts in this batch.
We needed the blue to break it up.
Hope they like it.
I'll not be quilting it, so I'm done.

Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.

I used scraps to make the test block I was working on for Midnight Stargazer.

I'm using scraps from the brown scrap drawer for swap blocks.
I dug into the string containers (there are two of them).
I finished the placemats.
I do think I like the diagonal setting better.

Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.

I used scraps to make the test block I was working on for Midnight Stargazer.

I continued cutting from my scrap drawer for the TQPM test quilt.

I dug into the string containers (there are two of them).
These are the bases for some embroidery.
There will be green and blue bases coming soon.
My DD wanted a watermelon, a Flamingo, a seagull, and a Margarita glass.
We decided to do the backgrounds and then have me embroider them onto the placemats.
I think I like the diagonal best, but will two of each.
Sewing with specific colors of strings is messier than just sewing with strings.
