I've not posted much because I've been on the move and not in the studio.

But today, a friend came over, and we cut out all her fabric for a class on Friday!

It's so much fun to have a sewing friend near to spend time with.

After she left, I went to a workout with my personal trainer at the YMCA and was done when I got home.

It was time to rest.

Then, I came upstairs and made a headband.

The top one is the one I copied from, you can see it has been worn.
The blue one is the fabric DD wanted, so now she has another one.

Barn Quilt

I was in a class today taught by Tony and Cathy.

These are the pieces the class made.

This is the one I started, and DD came by with lunch and helped me finish it.
She was the one that picked the colors.
It was so much fun!

Quilts For Those in Need

I started the day with exercise.

Then was going to quilt the two Quilts for Those in Need Quilts.

The power went off and stayed off for most of the day.

But, I finished the first one.

Then I loaded the second one.
I did notice that the second one was a bit more difficult and I was tired from working on it, but they are done.

  My to-do-list for 2023

1. Leach Pillows to use up the remaining T-shirts, I'll be making body pillows.

2. Memory quilt from Rob's shirts. I have the center done and need to add a border or two to make it a bit larger.

3. Second Memory quilt from Rob's T-shirts. They are cut and stabilized, so it should go fairly quickly.

4. Tammy's baby clothing memory quilt is almost finished. I need to cut more baby clothing and even out the boy and girl fabric. I made her two quilts with her twin's clothing. I am in the process of making her one with both boy and girl clothing in it. I use this one as a leader/ender, and it is growing. I've run out of the boy fabrics and need to cut more.

5. Donna's memory quilt or two, depending on how it goes together. I think I will be doing hers in a heart shape.

6. I'd like to make some memory teddy bears from Rob, Karen, Tammy, and Donna's leftovers.

7. Karen's hexagon memory quilt. I finished the hexagons and stitched it onto the background while on vacation, so it just needs to be quilted.

8. Larger hexagon pillow from the leftover fabrics.

9. Driesbach T-shirt quilt. They are cut apart and stabilized, and there are not that many shirts.

10. Hawaiian pants for Ashley

11. Hawaiian Applique

I finished one part of the Hawaiian Applique.

I think there are two or three of them.

I need to figure out what I'm doing with all of them.

12. Hawaiian Sashiko

I worked on this the first night at the retreat, but nothing after that.

13. Off Kilter

16. Christmas Panel - Winter's Eve

DONE 14. Test Quilt

The Test Quilt is finished, but I can't show a photo of them.

DONE 15. Baby items for Ashley's hope chest

It's a diaper clutch.

DONE 17. Pumpkin Table Topper

Finally finished this small table topper.

They are fun to use scraps.

DONE 18. Thanksgiving Table Topper.

This was a simple pattern but is finished.

I went on a retreat this past week.

I had a blast!

We had much sewing, eating, and laughing.

I was actually productive.

Bloom went together fairly easily.
I did not like the blocks to begin with, but it grew on me.
This was a 2013 UFO that got sidetracked because of how the instructions were written.

This is the last of the fox baby items I made for my daughter.
It will go in the hope chest.

I just framed this saying and it will become a wall hanging.
I still need to quilt it and finish it.

This little Halloween mug rug is for my DH to sit his drinks on while watching TV.

A small pillow from leftover pieces.

I also made two pincushions, but I don't seem to have photos of them.

Overall, a productive few days.

Coming home led to doctor appointments and exercise.

A reminder to get your mammograms.
