Finish-A-Long Q3

1. Baby Clothing - Girl Quilt

This girl baby clothing quilt needs to be finished.
I have stabilized and cut most of the clothing, and now need to sew them together.
I'll be starting with 16 patches and then assembling them.

DONE July 2. Acorn Squash Table Runner
The top is done, so it needs quilting and binding.

DONE July3. Tutti Frutti
This is from a class I took with Gail Garber.
It is finished.
DD helped me figure out what I wanted to do.

4. Coasters
This is a sample photo of coasters I need to make.
I need seasonal coasters made.
The batting is cut.
Some of the squares are cut.

5. Baby Clothing Boy Quilt
The top is done, but the girl one (it's for twins) needs done before this one.
Wish I'd known that before I started the boy one first. LOL
I just need to get the backing and quilt this one.

6. Ann's 2009 NYE Mystery

I'm making progress on this quilt.
It's 10 years old and I'd love to get it done.

UFO accomplishments

Elm street Quilts has a challenge.
This month I was to make progress on my baby clothing stabilization.

I stabilized and cut lots of clothing.
I only have 40 more to go, so I am counting my blessings.

Next month will be to see how much I can progress on sewing the pieces together.
This is where I am at right now.

Interwoven

I test for TQPM (the Quilt Pattern Magazine)
I tested a very large quilt named Interwoven.
This is the quilt that is on my long arm now ready to be quilted.

I think I'll be turning it on the bed and it will fit better.

Design Wall Monday

I'm linking to Small Quilts Doll Quilt's Design Wall Monday and Monday Makings

The baby clothing quilt is coming along.
I have 26 out of 108 that are done.
When I get 9 across on this, I'll put them together and hang the opposite direction.
Why? Because my design wall is wider than it is long. :)
since I know what it is looking like and how it goes together, this is my leader/ender project.

I am getting the first set of HST together for this.
I also don't really know what I need because it is larger than the last one and has that funny center to it.
I'm fairly sure I have to make that center piece a bit larger, so I'll not be sewing anything to it yet.
As I work on the cutting mat, I do one HST and pin it with the piece it goes on.

The main thing I'm working on is another test quilt to finish by the 10th, so it is primary and everything else is secondary for this project.

Harry Loves Alice

My dear friend, Tammy, has a BOM going on named Harry Loves Alice.

“Harry Loves Alice” 2019 Free BOM Quilt Pattern designed by TK Harrison from BOMquilts.com

Your can purchase the kit at Abbi May's.

Come join me on the adventure of Harry Loves Alice.
This is my Block #6

Check out the BOM that Tammy has going on.

Small group & other things

I apologize if I'm not posting enough, but life is BUSY!

I have so many blessing and two of them are keeping me hopping. :)

Then, my commitments have all come together and I have too many things that need my attention right now.

I'm sewing 8-10 hours a day, which is great, but tiring.
It is wearing me out.

I'm trying to stay off the computer more and getting other things done.

Then, house things come to play and we have to get the hot water heater inspected after it was replaced, get a new screen/storm door because the other one is falling apart, get a new entry door to the garage because it is falling apart too, then the garage door opener is acting up, not to mention the plumbing.
I thought things were supposed to come in threes....that is more than 3.

But, knowing that I have to take time for myself, I did go to my small group and it was very helpful to me mentally.

Debbie was working on preparing her hand applique project.
Her colors are soooo pretty.
She put a few together so we would see how nice they will be when assembled.

Lana was working on her Tutti Frutti.
She has the piecing done and is assembling it.
They are so pretty and each one so different with the fabric chosen.

I was working on my baby clothing and a test quilt.
I can't show you the test quilt, but I got 4 of the baby clothing blocks done.
The blocks are about half done on the test quilt.
The 4 blocks added to what I had done are on my design wall.

Today I'm working on the rest of the stabilizing.
When I get tired of stabilizing, I'll sew more pieces together and work on the HST for the food embroidery blocks.

I'll be working all day on these things and trying to sew like the wind.

So many things to be done in August.

1. Quilt previous test quilt and get it ready to take on the trip a week from Sunday to bind in the car.
2. Test quilt to be done by the 10th
3. Food embroidery should be done mid August.
4. Baby Clothing quilt done by mid August.
5. 2 Clemens T-shirt quilts to be done by mid August
6. 2009 NYE Mystery to be done by end of August.

There are other things that in the works, but I'm not focusing on them right now.

Add to that DD is moving into the apartment by the third week in August.

I think my August is going to be way busy.

I have stopped reading most emails because of my stress level.
I give myself a few minutes of a break and that is when I'm doing computer stuff.

Wish me luck.
