Last UFO of January

 In the knick of time....

This is Kimberly Einmo Design.
I've been calling it trees, but it is Perfect Pines.

Trees

I had Trees on the design wall for a long time

It has been ready to quilt for this month.

I finally got it quilted and hope to bind it tonight.

As I'm quilting along, I run out of bobbin.

After a bobbin change, it is quilted.

I am working each day, even if it is only for 15-30 minutes.
It makes a difference.
Motivation comes when there is progress.

Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.

Hearts were made from scraps.

This was in the hoop.
Not a great experience.
Kimberbell design customer service was lacking, in my opinion.
The bottom line, they want me to find a one needle machine to use their designs.
😞
I think they are doing false advertisement by not stating their designs are not made for multi-needle embroidery machines.
It turned out nice, just not for a multi-needle machine.

Completions

Grannie's Block of the Week (BOW) Block #1

Two pillow covers from orphan blocks.

Postcards and more

Another guild challenge idea.
I had these hearts cut out and put netting over the top.
I quilted it with organic quilting.

Postcards galore.
Dark Skies
Masquerade
Recycled
Year of the Ox
I had this crocheted piece leftover for 30 years.
DD wanted it on a pillow.
She is 21 and I think it was 10 years ago she said she liked it and wanted a pillow.
Finally, it is stitched on the pillow and finished with a little quilting around it.

Two UFO pillows.

Embroidery

I've been running the embroidery machine

I made some postcards, which I'll show when they are finished.

I made this little heart mug rug all in the hoop of the embroidery machine.

I'm frustrated with this company.
The in the hoop design does not stop at a color change.
It has to be manually stopped to go to the next step.
It is frustrating that when contacting the customer care that they can't answer simple questions.
They give the "well each machine is different" answer.
They do not comprehend the questions.
They can't seem to listen to the answer to get the information they might need.
They go back to the answer they are giving instead of the answer I am giving.
They want a video of the machine running and not stopping.
It makes no sense to me and I'm not sure I'll be doing any more of their designs.

Sorry for the rant.
I can't abide a company making it difficult for their customers.
This one takes the cake.

Update: Their program is not meant for multi-needle machines.
Why is that not on the packaging?
I bought more than one of them and now I'm not sure if they should be used.

Monday Design Wall

    I'm linking to

MY main design wall has some orphan blocks on it.
One of the challenges for the New Braunfels Area Quilt Guild is to find your orphan blocks and do something with them.

I did make two pillow covers on Friday.
I have 3 or 4 prepped for next Friday.

Then, a challenge for the Hill Country Mod Quilt Guild to make something with hearts.
I'm still having trouble figuring out how to do what I want to do with these hearts.
Then, the blue on the right is from that last T-shirt quilt.
I forgot the zipper on Friday, so I had to bring it home.
I'll add a zipper at the bottom and then cut to size before I sew the last two sides.
Hopefully, it will be done today.

I am making progress.
I seem to not have the motivation to work as long as I normally work.

Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.
Those pillow shams above were made using strips from my scrap bins.

John Deere Done

I finally finished the binding on the little John Deere baby quilt.

John Deere

It's been loaded for a while.
I finally got it quilted today. Now to get the binding ready.
I might get it bound while waiting for DH's dental surgery tomorrow.

Design Wall Monday

   I'm linking to

MY main design wall has some orphan blocks on it.
One of the challenges for the New Braunfels Area Quilt Guild is to find your orphan blocks and do something with them.
I have some that will lend themselves to table runners.
I have some that will lend themselves to pillow covers.
So, this month I'll work on getting some of those blocks out of my cabinet.
I'll tell you a little secret, these are not all of my orphans. 😒

For my other design wall, I have a completed quilt top that will be coming down today.

Then, a challenge for the Hill Country Mod Quilt Group to make something with hearts.
These are applique and embroidered hearts that I'll either make some pillows or a quilt.
I'm not completely sure yet.

Trees

I finished the center of the Trees quilt.
This is a Kimberly Einmo quilt class I took.
Have the outside border to go.

I also made a few more of the travel kleenex covers.
