But, it is getting close.
I found another bag of snippets to add so they can get between all those batting pieces.
It should be done by June. LOL

May/June - Bobcat coasters
These are late because of my COVID problem, but I'd like to get them done this month.
Didn't make it for May, I was really out of it.
But, hopefully, June will be productive and I can get them done

This is a new one for me.
She suggests listing 12 items and being able to change them if you want.

Design Wall Monday

This is the Grannies Mystery from Scrappy Quilter.
I was caught up with the blocks in March at my retreat.
But, I didn't keep up, so I am 4 blocks behind.
My brain is not able to handle the patterns right now, so this might be up there for a bit.
The other design wall is empty.
Everything the same as last week.

I am working on things that don't use lots of energy.
I'm working on the PC swaps.
Thinking of Mom & Cherries.
I took all the different things folks call Moms and digitized them for postcards.
Then, I crocheted these cute cherries for the Cherries swap.

A couple of other fun facts are:

I have done something with stitching or organizing every day this week.
I find it is getting easier to do something, which is a great feeling
I'm still recovering, but I am doing better.

I even went into the extra bedroom (storage/collection area) and collected all the old boxes that should be tossed.
That opened up space in the room
They are ready for garbage pickup on Tuesday!

My sewing is limited right now to postcards.
I find cutting is limited.
Long arming is limited.
The embroidery machine seems to be OK to run.
The sewing machine is good for a short time.

Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.

Both of the postcard themes were from my scrap drawer.
I didn't use lots of scraps, because postcards are small, but I did use some.

I need to get a couple of postcards done, so I imagine they will be from scraps.

Postcards

I saw this cute crocheted cherry pattern.

I had a cherry postcard I needed to do.

I had a pocket from some girl scout project that I decided to cut in half for the background of the postcard.

Then, I sewed the leaves down the center and the cherry across the top.

Studio Organizing

I need to be careful of exertion right now, but I can do things like go through pens and pencils.

Prairie Moon has an organizing challenge going on

Going through pens and pencils is the current challenge.

So, I pulled the drawers, one at a time, and tested every pen in them.

I found that I had some colors mixed up, so I corrected that.

This is the trash can after doing the black, blue/colors, and red pens.

I didn't have any pencils which needed to be trashed.
I don't have lots of writing pencils.
I did this challenge a couple of years ago.

I did this with all the cups I have sitting around.
I didn't take a photo of them, but some left my home as trash.

Every little bit helps!

Floor pillow

I think the floor pillow is stuffed, or nearly there.

I'll let it sit a couple of days and see how it has settled.

The only problem I see is it is VERY heavy.

I hope this exercise is going to result in use.

Studio Organizing Task

I love Prarie Moon's organizing tasks.

They seem to hit right when I need them.

This month is organizing your marking pens and pencils.

I have coffee mugs with pens and pencils in them.
My fabric marking pens are in the same spot, and I just went through them earlier this year.

More containers with pens and pencils in them.
I guess the light got this one, but it has pens and pencils in it too.
Not all of the spice drawers have pens or pencils in them, but a lot do, so I need to check them out.

My To Do List

I still like to make lists.

I'm feeling well enough to do some things for short periods of time.

So, my list that needs to be done is:

1. Find photo fabric for labels on graduation gifts

2. Trim HSTs

These are for a mystery.
I need to get the next clue done by Tuesday of next week.
Then I need to work on the next clue to stay ahead of the group.

3. Cut Coaster pieces

These are the coasters for my daughter to give to the people she interned with.
I got ill and didn't get them done. 😞
But, the good news is she has a summer job with them and will be able to pass them out as soon as I finish them.

4. Stuff floor pillow

This thing is going to take LOTS of stuffing.

5. Work on Postcards

6. Continue to get the studio in order

This is a really short list for the week on a normal week but is probably more than I can do in a week.

Cotton Boll Quilting is Closing

I thought I'd share a link for the Cotton Boll quilt store that is closing.

If you live in the San Antonio, TX area, she is offering curbside pick-up.

I love this store, but she is needing to be closer to family.

Cleaning up

I don't have lots of energy to do much at one time, but I'm building up to quilting again.

I need to trim HST for a mystery my small guild is doing.

I need to sort through all the basket of fabric from those three graduation quilts and other stuff.

I need to consolidate and organize my small guild items.

They need to go back into the containers where they belong.

I had pulled them because I was working on game night.

I made a mess.

It feels good to do anything but sleep and eat.

I am happy to be working on my studio.

I have done something with stitching or organizing every day this week.
It might have only been for 15 minutes, but I did something.
I consider that a win!
I feel better, but my energy level drops quickly, so I am taking it very easy.

Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.

I have not done any sewing where I used scraps yet.

I need to get a couple of postcards done, so I imagine they will be from scraps.

When I changed over to follow.it, they couldn't import my subscribers.

So, if you want to receive emails, please resubscribe on the left side of the blog.

Thank you.

pin cushions

I needed 6 pincushions for a guild game night.
I had the little custard cups and used the foxy fabric.
One FQ used.
I feel good to have finished these.
My first "sewing" in three weeks.

Floor pillow

This floor pillow is for DD.
It has been in the making for more than a year now.
I've had trouble every step of the way.
But, today, I felt good enough to add another trash bag full of cut-off pieces.
It still needs more filling
I have two inner pillows to fill so it is comfortable to sit on.
I've been saving all those trimmings for years to use in dog pillows.
But, the shelter is not wanting them because if the dog chews an opening it is a mess. 😕
So, I decided to use those and the small batting pieces to stuff this pillow.
I would LOVE to get this done in May.

COVID has killed my stitching and organizing numbers.
I am feeling better, so I plan to work on more coasters this coming week.

Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.

No quilting is happening at this point.
I need to get a couple of postcards done, so I imagine they will be from scraps.
