Continuing on

I was side tracked last night, and needed a break from all the stabilizing.
But, I'm starting again
DD cut many of the shirts and is working on the last few.
I stabilized and cut them out.
She wants them to be different sizes, so that is what we are doing.
The memory quilt is coming along.
All the first round is done.
I am making the pieces for the second round.
I'm happy with the progress.

Stashbuster's June number was this America the Beautiful block.
I am not thrilled with the project, so.....
I need a purple gift for a graduation present.
This is the front.
This is the back.
I might need to add some velcro, but it is a nice little bag.
It's cute like this.

I also need to make some microwave bowl potholders.

working away

Looks like the rain is slowly going away.
I've been sewing the first group of borders on the memory clothing.
I guess I'm almost 3/5 the way through that process.
After that, I need to make the next border and sew them on.
It won't be done today, but I feel good about the progress.

DD is preparing the other T-shirts by cutting them apart for me.
That is one of the parts I dislike doing.
I'll soon be able to stabilize and trim them to go at the next project.

Design Wall Monday

Judy has us keep track of what we are working on.
Check out the other blogs.
This is a graduation Band T-shirt quilt.
I have a plan, now to get the work done.
This is a memory quilt and I need to make a bear too.
It is gray and stormy.
I'm not sure if the retirement home is going to take the field trip today or not.
It is raining and going to rain for awhile.

Stashbuster numbers game

Well, I can't say I'm doing great at this.
I've had lots of "issues" this year which have made me not sew as much as I normally do.

But, the Stashbuster numbers for June are
#2
America the Beautiful

Looks like I only have two of the blocks done on this one.
I believe I didn't like the way the mountain went together, so I stopped.
I can't say this is one of my favorite samplers, so I imagine I'll figure something else to do to finish it.
#33
Color wash by Carol
I've never made a color wash, but the fabrics are all picked, so maybe it is to just put it together.
Looks like the rows are decided too.
It doesn't look that large.

Maybe I'll have some luck in finishing these this month and can decide if I want to go back to any of the other numbers.

Missouri quilt company

This is an easy way to do the Hidden wells type of quilt.
She uses stripes to do her quarter stripe quilt.

I love doing hidden wells, so this is a fun way to make a quick quilt.

Positive day

My friend, Carol, came over to quilt quilts.
She had 4 small quilts to quilt today.
She did it.
Quilt #1
Quilt  #2
Quilt #3
Quilt #4
After she left, I worked on a couple of microwave bowl pot holders.
2 more complete.

Microwave bowl Pot holders

I think these are the neatest things.
They keep you hands from being too hot when taking something out of the microwave as well as keeping them warm when eating ice cream.
They are even reversible.
I have a few sets of these cut out.
DD wants more for our kitchen.

Prairie Moon Organization Challenge

The Challenge this week is:

Clean out a drawer or shelf.

I have some crafty drawers that could use help, but it would
make a bigger mess right now.
I think I am going to do a shelf instead.
I have a habit of sticking patterns between books when I get done.
I need to put them inside a binder to make it neater.

What am I working on?

Dazzle needs quilting now.Quilty Fun BOM is coming along.  I'm caught up
This Jo's Club is a modification and I think I'm going to modify it more to see if I can make it larger
This is a modification of Gypsy Rose. I am using fall type of colors. I just need some focus time to make it work.

Other things are graduation gifts and wedding gifts.  I truly need to spend some time in my study and focus.

Vacation time didn't allow me to finish anything.
Then, I've not been motivated since I've been home.

Then there was an estate sale I was asked to go to for QOV and I bought fabric.

Guess that means I need to sew more.

Quilty Fun

Finished another set of the blocks.
Those 4 patches in the center

Casserole cover

Finally got it done!
Ever have one of those days when nothing goes right?
That was today.
I did finally get it done and it should be usable.

gloomy day

We have had rain all morning long.
It's a very gloomy day.
So, I decided to make the Christmas casserole cover.
I can not say that I like this process.
I makes my eyes cross.  LOL
I suppose if I were to make a number of them, they would go quicker.
I am having trouble with measurements this morning/afternoon.
But, I think I've got it.
Now to find some velcro.

Prairie Moon Organization Challenge

I am finally home.
It was a great trip, but I'm happy to be home.
There are many things I need to get to now that life will return to normal, whatever that is.
This week's challenge is to:

Revisit a previous task you're still not done with

This could be so many things, but I think I will pick making the pillow forms and pillow cases for the Special Reach and the Equessense summer programs.
We have many of the pillow forms put together, but now for the muslin and bordered pillow cases.
One needs to be a pirate type colors and the other patriotic.
I hope I have some fun black prints for the pirate ones.

Stashbuster # Challenge

The numbers for the month of May are:

 #12 -- Black embroidered butterfly.
I think there are only a few of them, so it can be maybe a red and black baby quilt.
I am on the road, so I don't have a photo.

#53 is Fancy Fox.
I have no idea what status it is, so I'll have to figure it out when I get home.

Prairie Moon Organization Challenge

Work on a UFO

Well, I do have a pre-printed baby quilt that I could finish on the road.
I had hopes of getting another one done, but it didn't happen.
