Progress

Let Me Suprise You Just a Little from Houston
I'm adding one black border to this and it will be a top
Thread holders all finished for my retreat.
I sure had lots of blue ribbons. LOL
Closeup showing the bobbin threads.
I was asked what this thing was, so the closeup photo showing the bobbins held on the bolt.
Hang it around your neck and you will have your thread handy.
The Frog quilt
I'll be putting a silver border and then have to decide on the outer border.
Up close of the Frogs.
Such cute fabric I found at Scrappy Quilter.

My retreat is only 11 days away and I need to figure this all out.

Fun trinkets

I'm making things to give away at the retreat.
Why?
Because I want to.
DH bought all the Ibolts that Lowes had.
I need twice this many, so we will have to try somewhere else.

long process

If you remember my mess, it has taken me a while to work on it.
Every time I started, I would find I was moved to do something else.
But, I did get through all the containers.
The batting container has had parts used from it.
The other containers that hold the fabric I've used have been emptied and fabric replaced in the scrap drawer or the stash.
My cutting table has the items I'm using at this point in time, so they stay.
I really really really need to figure out a better way to handle the cutting table, but that is for another day.

Having a clean floor is nice too.
I started filing again.
It has been gathering by the desk.
While talking with DD, I filed a bag of receipts and money (you know the change you get from your purse when it gets too heavy).

Design Wall Monday

I'm linking to Small Quilts Doll Quilt's Design Wall Monday and Monday Makings.

This is coming along.
I have all the rows done and now to put it together into the to and decide on the borders.
The frog quilt is going together into the top.
This is for DD's roommate's Mom.

St Patrick's wreath

I like the wreath on DD's door.

I am working on 9-patches for a Frog quilt.

I'm using scraps for the 9-patches and the cornerstones.

Mess

It seems I need more accountability.
I don't really know how my room became such a mess, but it has.
Even my cutting table is a mess.
Granted, I'm working on a project or two that are in the cutting phase, but I normally don't have this big of a mess.

So, I don't have a doctor's appointment until 3 pm, and I plan to make this better.
I'm not exactly sure how, but I'm going to do it.

St Patrick's Day Postcards

I know I have a swap coming up, so I used the leftover pieces from the placemats to make postcards.
They are ready for when I receive the list of whom to mail them to.

I finished the binding while at the doctor's office.

Today

I quilted the Mardi Gras wall hanging today.
I did feathers.
I'm not all that good at them, but I made it happen with yellow thread.
I'm in a pincushion swap.
Look what I got from Norway!
It is so pretty.

Summary of trip to Galveston & postcards

This is what I worked on in Galveston.
3 pillows, 1 table topper, 1 towel, 1 Mardi Gras wall hanging, & 1 quilt top started.
So, I think that wasn't so bad for accomplishments.
Kayenderes sent me a Valentines' card.
I love the doily.
Miriam sent me an Asian postcard.
I love her detail.

Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.

I was working on the BOM from my scrap drawers.

I'm trying to follow the designer's colors but use my scraps.
I had to buy a brown on my vacation because I didn't cut one of the colors while at home.

Midweek matters

Quilt Fabrication has a check in on Wednesdays called Midweek Matters.
I've been working on pillows while in Galveston.
I finished the first diamond EPP project that I started when I was in Houston for the Festival.
I put it on the dishtowel for the 4th of July.
I tried my hand at hand quilting this too.
Not the best of stitches, but it will hold it on the towel.
