Fab 4

Fab 4

Last week I didn't get it all done, but some is better than nothing.

DONE 1. Start quilting the T-shirt quilt.

It is finished, including the binding.

That is a full-size bed, so it is a larger T-shirt quilt.

Working 2. Continue working on the shoe bag project for a friend. I have 25 more to make.

3. Make a couple Poinsettia Postcards.
DONE 4. Finish Kittie Stuffie
They are finished!

This week:

 1. Quilt Covered in Love Patriotic Quilt

2. Continue working on the shoe bag project for a friend. I have 25 more to make.
I've cut about half of them, so that should go fairly fast.

3. Make a couple Poinsettia Postcards.

4. Keep straightening up my studio, which is a mess.
Focus for 15 minutes a day on filing and the paper mess.

Thanksgiving

Do you ever think life is going to go one way, and then it veers off another way?

Yesterday was that day.

It was the worst Thanksgiving Day ever because of a family disagreement that led to a panic attack.

I didn't eat anything until 8 at night, and then I didn't eat much.

I didn't get to spend time with the family because of my state of mind.

It was horrible and something I've not experienced like this before.

The reason I wanted to note it here is even with all the pain from the past three days leading up to this, there is a bright spot to find love.

No, I didn't get to sew or visit with family, but my family was beside me the whole time.
If you are struggling, having family near is a great blessing to be thankful for.

Things are better today and I do hope to sew.
I do hope your Thanksgiving was better than mine and if it wasn't, you can find a blessing among the problems.

T-shirt Quilt

I finally finished the T-shirt quilt.
It does feel good to be quilting again.
I need to be careful with my hands and not bind an entire quilt in one evening.

I have two Habitat for Humanity quilts to bind.

I took last night off to rest my hands.

FAb 4

I’m going to try for the Fab 4 (5) this week and see how it goes

  1. Start quilting the T-shirt quilt
  2. Finish the Kleenex cover project for DD’s work (I will probably make 13 more, even though these are the numbers she asked for.)

  3. Begin the shoe bag project for a friend (I need 28 by mid-December). This was a commitment prior to DH getting ill)

  4. Make a couple Poinsettia Postcards.
  5. A friend invited me to quilt yesterday, and I didn't work on my projects but made a cute cat, and she made a cute dog stuffie.

They took much longer than anticipated because we were both tired.

Added to that list are getting some doctor appointments scheduled for DH.

It was all good news from the appointments.

Keep straightening up my studio, which is a mess.

I have worked on it a bit, but it still needs help.
I vacuumed, so that helped a lot.
The green bin has fabric for the shoe bags.
It is contained, but still a mess.
I need to rearrange beneath the pressing table
I have lots of paperwork to fix.
DD is sewing this morning.
I finished labels for the three improv quilts.
This is mine.
This is DD's.
Still not lots of sewing, but I'm doing something and that makes me happy.
