My new baby

Well, I had so much trouble with my old (3 years old) embroidery machine that I decided to upgrade. This is my new baby. Isn't she pretty? I should be playing with her, but I fell at the store and I'm in so much pain that I can't even think. But, soon, I will be able to play and have lots of fun.
If anyone needs any labels of something done, let me know.

Finishes

I finished the binding on the Lady of the Lake blue and white quilt. It is pretty.
I have finished quilting this purple quilt for Sandy. I love this soft girly part of this quilt.

I just finished the binding on another baby quilt, so now there are 2 ready to go to Wilford Hall. I need photos of those.

Some quilting

I've been quilting. The blue and white quilt is quilted with flowers and stippling. I have the binding half done on it, so should be finished soon.

I did a quick baby quilt for the Wilford Hall babies. Binding ready to sew down on that one too.

I have the purple and pink quilt ready to put together. That should be done soon too.

I think I have the pattern I want for the Dear Jane quilt. It has been difficult for me to figure out the right pattern.

quilting on my birthday

Well, my small group was cancelled today because they are redoing the room. It will be wonderful when it is done.

So, I've been doing my own frenzy at home.

I finished a post card and I didn't take a photo of it.
I made a birthday block. Another churn dash.
I finished my patriotic heart wall hanging that has been a UFO for many years. So, that is a good thing to finish. At least one UFO a month is the plan. Hoping it is more than that, but one a month will be great.

I'm working on a love quilt now. This is pink and needs to turn out to be more of a purple quilt. I am putting a checkerboard border on it to help with the purpleness.

I'm also trying to determine the quilting for a Dear Jane that is embroidered. I think I have the border figured out and if I can do the outlines, I have the center figured out too.

It's been awhile since I actually did a report, so I will just start the summary again. I am in the middle of lots of things and have been quilting for others, so I've not used very much. But, if you look through the older posts, you can see I've been busy. LOL

Fabric Added Year to Date -- 20 yards
Fabric Used This Week --0.00 yards
Fabric Used Year to Date -- 42.75 yards

Happy Easter

He has risen.
He has risen indeed.

I have nothing to show, but I'm working on a lady of the lake blue and white quilt, a patriotic wall hanging and a blue hidden wells quilt.

so, I should have photos in the near future.

Family and quilting

What a perfect day this is going to be.
Went to see How to train your dragon and now I'm quilting a QOV. I loaded it this morning and have the green thread ready to go. This will be the last QOV I have in house.
Photos later.

Not an April Fools Joke

OK, I have started feeling better and thought I'd better update what I've been up to. Not been using lots of stash, but been getting items out of here that I need to have accomplished.
So, here is the GS pillow I made for a girl that has to leave because the family is moving away from the area.
I've done some embroidery testing, until my machine started acting bad and I had to take it in to have it fixed.
These are QOV's I've been working on -- #78,#85, #84, #83, & #82.
I worked on a small quilt from the class. It is called Meg's garden from Jo's club and I named it Ashley's garden. I don't normally make small quilts, but this class is challenging me. I'm working on the dreaded applique.

I embroidered a large label for a love quilt. It was a fun one to do. Can't post a photo of it yet.
I had to redo the three Birthday blocks I made for February and I made one for March. The post office lost the one package that had 3 blocks in it. So hoping they show up sometime soon.
I quilted a quilt for Sandy and LOVE these colors!

Fabric usage for March was 9.79 yards used. None brought in, so that was a good thing. I used 26.39 yards of fabric. I will try and update this weekly from now on.
So, I guess I've been busier than I thought. But, most of it has been quilting for others instead of doing my own things. Now to focus on some of my other projects I need to complete.
