Postcards I received

Opposites is the prompt
I love the way she colored it and the flowers.

It's too big

I have a king sized bed and look at how too big this is.
:(
I have to do something different.
Hanging on my banister.
It takes up the whole length.

So, options are to make two quilts out of it.
or
make one quilt and have all these extra pillows all around with the other parts and pieces.

Large T-shirt qult

I'm thinking I need to put something else in that third column.
It looks too bare.
I might be able to add one in there that is very narrow.
I'll wait until the top is together and see what it looks like then.

Car Quilt

My Irish Star car quilt is finished.
I need to wash it and then it can sit in the car for when I need my knees covered.

April Stashbuster Numbers

I can honestly say that it has not been a good year for the Numbers Game.
That being said, I don't stress over it.
January and February were not good months for me, so that is expected.
This month the April Numbers are
#12 - blue and Beige rail fence.
I can't find it.
It might turn up, but instead of stressing over it, I'm going to replace it with #61 - fluffy Pillow.
Since I'm having troubles, maybe making it small will help be finish it.

The other number is #79 - Hummingbird blocks.
These are all cut, but no sewing done on them.
I hope I can put them together and use it as a leader/ender project.

While going through the box, I found a Halloween panel.
Halloween has lost any luster it had when Dad passed away on the 31st.
So, I am donating it and taking it off my list.

Let's Bee Social

Let's Bee Social has a link that helps when motivation is low.
You can see so many blogs with what they are working on.

This is a week that I'm working to complete things.
I won't meet all my goals for March, but I'll have made progress.
I'm happy with that.

I have my final quilt being loaded on the long arm.
It's the little Fall quilt.
I hope to get this done soon.

I also have the small Irish Star quilted and waiting for me to sit and bind.
Thread, needle and quilt are waiting by my chair.

Then, of course, I am working on the T-shirt quilt.
The bottom rows should be joined and sewn on the center today.
That will leave me doing the sashing for the top two rows and sewing on the center.
Then I tackle the two sides.
I'll know the correct measurement for the length of the quilt and be able to decide on the cashing for these to fit the quilt.
I might end up needing to use the extra pieces or embroider something. Time will tell on that.

T-shirt Quilt

Been working on the T-shirt quilt
Bottom two rows are together.
I seem to be having some math problems, but I hope I've worked them out.
I should be able to blend with the quilting.
I'll sew these together tomorrow and then to the center of the quilt already done.

Design Wall Monday

Judy at small quilts and doll quilts have a design wall Monday link up.
Check it out.
Adding the coping parts of the T-shirt quilt.
It is coming together.
These shirts are half the ones on the column of the quilt after the others are all together.
The 25 patches are for the pillow shams I'm making for the Irish stars quilt.
The other half of the shirts.

1. WITB
I found a couple of bags to go through and put away.

Bob Bob Bobbin Along

I decided that I'd use up the spools of thread that I only a little bit left on.
I was making postcards, so I emptied 7 spools.
That is a nice thing.

I also quilted Fiesta and have the binding ready to work on while in the car for a trip to the Salt Lick BBQ.
Yummmmy
I can't show it to you because it is a test quilt.

Scrap Happy

Scrap Happy blogspot has a link up of all the green things.

I've not really worked on the scraps of green either.
It's not been a very green month.

Progress

I have a plan for the location of the shirts and the coping strips to get it to the right size.
I'm working through them by size.
I am quilting this large quilt for Marilyn.
It is so soft and beautiful.
I am doing looks and hearts, per the request of the maker.

I'm glad to be working on things more steadily.

When this T-shirt quilt is done, I need to start a smaller one.
I also have the Fiesta quilt to quilt next.

Finished or not Friday has some great links.

Elm Street Postcard Swap

I do so many swaps, it was hard for me to figure out which were from this swap, but I did it.
the flower was from Canada and the Patriotic was from Pennsylvania.
They are both adorable and amazing postcards.
Thank you!

Elm Street Post Card Swap

My second partner was Susan and her prompt was "gardens"

Elm Street Post cards swap

I swapped with Tammy with a prompt of "colorful"

Motivational Monday

11 - 18 March

1. WITB
I finally got rid of my Franklin Time Management binders.
Some paperwork from 2004 and some from 2009.
It's time to remove them from around my desk.
I use my phone more for my calendar and notes go with the organization I'm working with.
Yes, I still have some items on the floor by my desk.
The one container with the clipboards have things I'm working on.
One day I'll finish all those tasks and will be able to remove that box.
One item is a trash can.
That will stay there.
The one on the far right is Mom's stuff and I hope to be able to file it next week.
The photo frame needs photos added to a SD card.
I just don't seem to get around to that.

2. Keep working on studio
Dusted my fan this week.
You forget how messy sewing is with 3 machines running.
DD used to do it for me once a month when she was home consistently.

3. Continue shadowing for T-shirts
Still working, only a few more and the measuring to figure out which ones go together.

4. Organization Challenge
Work on the flat surfaces around the room
I think I made a bigger mess.

5. Quilt Irish stars - green
Quilted and bound
So, I quilted the green one and decided to just do the other two.
I still have one small one to do for me.

6. Quilt Irish stars - purple
Quilted

7. Quilt Lana's quilt
Quilted and delivered

8. Quilt Sandy's Quilt

Cute Little Baby quilt

Not a great photo, but this is from a customer.
Did little hearts and loops on it.
The batting she brought is what is under it.

Off to quilt another quilt for Tammy. :)
