Home Sweet Home

Well, we are home early.
Alberto was going to drop too much rain for the rest of our vacation, so we came home early.
DS met us to unload the car, so it was great to be home.

A/C was not working properly. :I
But, they came out and it is cooling some, but not like it should.
They will come back on Wed for a full tune up and cleaning of the unit.

I did't even get the vacation stuff put away because it got so hot inside.
Maybe today.
It was too hot to move much, so not much sewing done either, but I did cut some star blocks and will get them started when I do get to my studio.

Computer decided it would not work.
Yikes, that is not what I wanted to happen.

I didn't eat right yesterday because of the frustrations, so I paid for it in the evening.
Woke up in the middle of the night, so I'm up for awhile.
We will see for how long.

Glad to be home and maybe I'll finish something before the end of the month.

HST

Vacation is wonderful
We are on the 13th floor and this is our view at night.

Wonderful water in Destin, FL
Fun Universal Studios, FL events
To a day of cutting HST.
Not as many as I'd like to have done, but more than I might have.
Lots of 1.5" HST.
I have many more to do.
My shoulder is giving me trouble, so I'm being careful.

Not much of the cut off pieces, but I'm down a few.
WE are not having lots of plan for tomorrow, so I might get a few more trimmed.

Vacation

WE are on the road again.
DH wanted to leave a 0100, and that is either too late for me or too early.
Made our way to Mississippi and just now are coming to life.

But, I'm doing a few things on the trip.
I have my yoyos
I have two hand quilting projects and a cross stitch project.
So, when in the car, I'll be working on something.
At night I hope to cut HST while we veg in the room.
I don't know how much I'll post or what I'll actually accomplish, but... we will have fun.

1. Keep unstitching bad stitching on CIL

It was really dusty.

c. Hot Glue
d. Song Birds
e. Angels

4. Organization Challenge - Clean out under sewing machine.

5. WITB
Found a bag of electronics.
I have to admit that I have no idea what to do with it, so it is going to DS to figure out.
It's out of my studio, and that is a good thing.

I emptied a big bag of items that needed filing.
All is filed that I have found.
I found two beautiful fabric postcards.
Apparently they were lost and I didn't even know it. :(
I have got to do better with this.
I also found old photos that I need to scan and post to Facebook to see if any family can tell me who they are.
I found my essential oil course and hope to work on that on the trip when we are having down time.
Of course, I'm going to be trimming up HST during that time too and that is my priority, but you can only do so much at a time.

6. Keep preparing for vacation
Started the suitcase packing and refining the packing list.
We are completely packed with what we can.
Waiting on DS to get here with his stuff and the last minute things.

7. Quilt Lana's table topper.

14 - 20 May 2018

2. Finish testing TQPM pattern

I really only worked on the postcards this week, but with the type of week it was, I'm OK with that.
I doubt I'll be having any usage during the next 2 weeks because of vacation.
I'll be able to stitch, but not organize during these two weeks.
That is what family vacation is all about.
I've already packed 3 projects to work on, so I'm good there.
