Maroon and Gold is difficult fabric to find.
I was making August placemats for DD and needed more gold.
The color is not true in this photo, it is more like the one below.
I had leftover strips from a Christmas tree skirt I made for DD and decided to make the placemats with them.
I had enough of the gold for one placemat.
That's why I went shopping and bought the fabric above.
I now have some variety of gold and an additional burgundy to make Texas State University items for DD's apartment.
