Great Sewing Tuesday

Every once in a while, a friend and I sew all day long.
There is lots of discussions about every topic under the sun.
Tuesday was a sew day from 10 am to 9 pm.

This is what I got done.

Off Kilter by Create with Claudia was started a while ago.
Life got in the way, but it is now a top.
I need to find a backing for it and quilt it.
(I finished it today because I was missing one cornerstone and had to finish that this morning.)

A Fruits & Vegetables Postcard swap is coming up.
I decided I wanted fruits, so here are the two PCs I made.

Habitat for Humanity needed a 2-year-old girl's quilt and asked if I could help.
I had this panel and added a couple of borders.
It will be backed in a yellow with pink polka dot fabric.

I am very happy with my progress yesterday.

I've not sewn much this week, so my numbers are the same, except for buys.

The LQS put batik on sale for $8 a yard, and I went overboard.

I had holes in my light and colorful batiks, so I bought more than expected.

Design Wall Monday 6/3/2024

   Design Wall Monday

Small Quilts and Doll Quilts

My design walls are a bit bare.

I still need to work on this peach and green quilt.

I've also added the Stashbuster #32 UFO pick on the wall.

This was from a block swap, and my partner stopped swapping.

I stopped making her blocks halfway into the year-long event.

The table runner needs two sides with cornerstones.

My second design wall has Offset by Create with Caludia.

My fabrics are so close in colors that it might be difficult to balance this one.

I have been working on our quilt show and am not sewing as much as I'd like.

But, maybe I can sew some this week.

To-Do-List May 2024

  My to-do-list for 2024

This list will change throughout the year, but I must focus on completing these things.

1. Donna's memory quilt or two, depending on how it goes together.

I have the second box and have started deconstructing it.
I think I have decided on at least one of the patterns.

3. I'd like to make some memory teddy bears from Rob, Lillian, and Donna's leftovers.

4. Wedding quilt

I have 5 of the one block done.
I need to make 4 of the second block to ensure this will work.
I'm not sure how big it will become.

5. Ashley's High School Graduation Quilt

All the T-shirts are deconstructed.

8. Memory T-shirt Pillows for Lillian

I've deconstructed all of them.
I've matched zippers to each T-shirt.
Now, to get them finished.
I have one pillow done and one ready for the zipper.

9. At least one of the Stashbuster UFO numbers each month (12/24 in the year)

Finished 6/12 (50%)

March #2 5-Pocket Pouches

I'm using these as leaders/enders to prepare all the pockets, and then I'll put them all together at once.

March #53 Christmas Trees
This will have more mug rugs made.
It really isn't Christmas trees.
I won't remove it from the list until I've used all the paper-pieced printouts.

April #19 is Bench Pillows/Door decorations/swatter sweaters

May #11 Ashley's HS Organization/Miscellaneous T-shirt Quilt

June #3 A Heritage Quilt
This one is a larger quilt that I'm not sure is even all cut out.
I started it and then stopped.
If I don't finish it this month, I'll take it with me on vacation and make sure it is all cut out.

June #32  Brown & Blue Swap Blocks

10. Complete 80% (9-10) of the All People Quilt Challenge projects.

My APQ quilts are all off the numbering system since I've finished 8 of them already this year.
