Actually, I should have a few extra hst ready to make sure things are "balanced". I didn't press them open because of the bias edges. I find that I stretch them if they lay around too long, soooo.
I ended up pulling some extra colors from the things I chose at the beginning. WE shall see how this all turns out.

good job on getting those pesky HSTs all done in time for the next step. I can't wait to try making these blocks but I have to clean up my scrappy mess on my sewing table first. Might be late in posting for the next step.
