Declutter Challenge

Day 6 - Archives

I don't have many archives anywhere but my computer.

I've thought about making a memory book for some photos, but it's not a priority.

To-Do-List 2025

I have some things I must finish in 2025

1. Donna's Memory Quilts

2. Lillian's Memory Bears (10)

3. Ashley High School Graduation Quilt

This quilt is VERY overdue.

I'm sure I'll add to it during the year, but I'll stop right here.

It's a good day

I've been ill all of 2025 with a cold started by allergies.

But I am beginning to feel better.

I'm stitching out birthday PCs for a swap I am in.

It's a birthday Ice Cream celebration.

I have 14 to stitch out to have them all ready for 2025.

I'm also prepping for two other quilts.

One is Meadowlark BOM.

One is a UFO that I started in 2013 when my Dad got ill and passed away.

It went on the back burner and is now coming out to play.

It's called Modern Dash.

It feels good to be doing something

Declutter Challenge

This process is excellent to help us focus on one area at a time.

Doing things in short increments is good to help us stop being overwhelmed.

I am still getting over this allergy/cold that has stopped me in my tracks.

I've sewn for a short time but am exhausted, so I've not started much of this challenge.

Day 1 Challenge - Garbage

I have all the garbage out of the room.

I keep two trash cans that have been emptied, and all the garbage on the floor or table tops are gone.

Day 2 Challenge - Squatters

I have started this and think most of the items are out, but more come in daily.

This is an ongoing process for my studio (it's at the top of the stairs and collects everything all year long)

Day 3 Challenge - Subscriptions

Day 4 Challenge - Books

Day 5 Challenge - Patterns

2024 Final Countdown

I didn't do this in three days, but they are still good things to accomplish.

Task 1: Clean around your sewing machine

BEFORE

This isn't horrible, and I clean the bobbin area with every bobbin change, so my machine is happy.

AFTER

I cleaned up to the left of the machine, and it is better.
The right of the machine is filled with leader/ender projects.

Task 2: Clean up the Floor in your studio

BEFORE

The floor needs lots of help!

I had some items stacked, and they fell over.

I spilled some pincushion filling and will vacuum when everyone is awake.

AFTER

Things are picked up and vacuumed.

Task 3: Give yourself permission to start something new

I started to prep for the Merry Mayhem NYD Mystery.

I didn't get to work on the mystery today, but maybe later.

I have a couple of sew-along I'll be working on in 2025.

Stash Report 12/29/2024

quilt paint create links to all our stash reports.

The year is almost over.

I might have one more finish if I get the quilt on the long arm quilted.

It's still possible.

I have one more pass, and the binding has already been made.

I have changed my goal of yardage used a few times this year, so being this close is a good thing.

I had a good week of finishes.
