June Accountability

I need to focus on accountability.

So, my plans for May and June are:

DONE 1. Quilt NBAQG Charity Quilts

Finished the last charity quilt I have, and I'll not be at the meeting this month, so I won't have any more until July.

DONE 2. Finish Rob's Cross Heart Quilt

I need to stitch out the label and get this mailed off.

3. Finish Amy's T-shirt Quilt

I have one of four columns done.
I need to work on making more of the strips.

5. Crayon Rolls

I have 34 more to make for my friend Tammy.

They are all cut out and need to be marked and sewn.

We are headed out on a vacation where I get to sew, so I will finish these.

DONE 6. Senior Center project

The next class is a patriotic placemat with a pocket.
The sample is made, and everything is cut for the class on Friday.

DONE 6a. Senior Center Towel project
They finished the placemats, so I need another project.
So, it is a patriotic towel

DONE 7. Class three zipper pouch Stash and Dash

All the fabric is picked and being cut out.
The class is next Saturday (6/15/23).

DONE 8. Quilt Test Quilt
Wish I could show you this wonderful quilt.

Stash Report 2 July 2023

quilt paint create links to all our stash reports.

I took a class and made the Stash and Dash bag.

I have been working on memory quilts for others.
This means that even though I am sewing most days, I do not have the yardage to report.
For someone who loves seeing progress in numbers, this is difficult.
I still have projects for others:
1. T-shirt Quilt for Amy (in process)
2. T-shirt Quilt for Jennifer (in process)
3. Heart Quilt for Jennifer
4. Chinese Coins Quilt for Jennifer
5. Memory Quilt for Donna
6. Memory Teddy Bears for Donna
7. Purple Habitat for Humanity (loaded)
8. Orange Habitat for Humanity (batting cut)
9. Batik Habitat for Humanity (batting cut)
10. Scrappy Habitat for Humanity (this one needs to be unsewn before it can be finished)
11. Binding on Covered In Love Quilt
12. Crayon Rolls
13. Test blocks (2)

As you can see from the list, this might be a productive year for finishing memory quilts, but not so much for my own things.

Wednesday update

I finished the binding on the test quilt.

Of course, I can't show you a photo, but I love the quilt.

I figured out the sashing for the small T-shirt quilt.

I'm not sure the darker one is going to be used, but it might.

I have the first of four columns ready to add the 'hanging' ribbon.

I have already figured out what sizes I need between the blocks.

I'll trim them to 15" when I get them centered on the section above.

I just figured out that on Tuesday, I will be sewing with a friend, and I will use that time to finish up the crayon rolls for another friend.

I hope this plan works because I would like to have those 55 crayon rolls finished and off to Tammy.

I doubt I will have any time between now that Tuesday.

Tuesday

This is another Memory quilt for a man who used to work with me.
There are only 9 shirts, so it should go quickly.

This is a high school T-shirt quilt with ribbons.
I'm working on getting the shirts to a 15-inch width.
Yes, I know the one is upside down...I fixed it.

I quilted the test quilt and now to get the binding sewn on.
I might have a project to work on tonight or tomorrow night.

Progress - May

  My to-do-list for 2023

It seems I have been distracted and have not finished these yet.

2. Memory quilt from Rob's shirts. I am adding a colored border from the shirts (one side to go), and then there will be an outside border for the final one.

3. Second Memory quilt from Rob's T-shirts. They are cut and stabilized, so it should go fairly quickly.

4. Lillian's baby clothing memory quilt is almost finished. I need to cut more baby clothing and even out the boy and girl fabric. I made her two quilts with her twin's clothing. I am in the process of making her one with both boy and girl clothing in it. I use this one as a leader/ender, and it is growing. I've run out of the girl fabrics and need to cut more.

5. Donna's memory quilt or two, depending on how it goes together. I think I will be doing hers in a heart shape.

6. I'd like to make some memory teddy bears from Rob, Karen, Lillian, and Donna's leftovers.

8. Larger hexagon pillow from Karen's leftover fabrics.

9. Karen's Zinna Pillow

10. Driesbach T-shirt quilt.

Started to cut the 'hanging strips'.

11. Hawaiian pants for Ashley

12. Hawaiian Applique

I finished one part of the Hawaiian Applique.

There are two or three of them.

I need to figure out what I'm doing with all of them.

12. Hawaiian Sashiko

I worked on this the first night at the retreat but nothing after that.

I am working on it while in the car with Randy driving.

13. Off Kilter

16. Christmas Panel - Winter's Eve

FINISHED

DONE 14. Test Quilt

The Test Quilt is finished, but I can't show a photo of it.

DONE 15. Baby items for Ashley's hope chest

It's a diaper clutch.

DONE 17. Pumpkin Table Topper

Finally finished this small table topper.

They are fun to use scraps.

DONE 18. Thanksgiving Table Topper.

This was a simple pattern but is finished.

DONE 1. Leach Pillows to use up the remaining T-shirts, I'll be making body pillows. I ended up making 5 tote bags too.

It feels good to have these done and picked up.
I think she loved them.

DONE 7. Karen's Hexagons
