Progress Report

I'm still working on the magazines.
I only have a few more to go.
Then I have these "idea" pages I need to go through and decide if I want to keep them.
T-shirt quilt has one more column to sew together.
Lots of shirts, lots of memories.
I will be putting a cotton border on it for stability in quilting.
Baby clothing squares.
I am still working on them as leader/enders.
They are going down and I'm feeling good about this.
I still have more to cut out.
It takes a whole day 10 - 3 of cutting to get one gallon baggie half full.
Lots of time went into this one.
I think I finally thought of a good setting.
I had the idea of courthouse steps.
I have done too many of them and decided I didn't want to do them again.
I thought about double irish chain.
Decided it was too fussy.
I had a pattern for a star with the embroidery in the center and pinwheels as alternate blocks.
No, too fussy.
I am just going to border a nickle charm with scrappy 2.5" strips.
I think I want each block to be the same fabric, but other than that, anything brown goes.
I used this horseshoe fabric in a table runner that I use in the family room.
I think this is going to be my quilt for the family room recliner.
I'm excited and love the idea.
Now to cut 7 more center squares.

T-shirt progress

I have two more smaller pieces to get to a 12" piece.
Next will be to determine how to adjust for the length.
I might be about 1.5" off.
It is getting closer.

photo of black and bright

The washed black and bright.
It's a fun quilt.

Design wall Monday

Check out Judy's sites for other inspiration.

This is actually my Lovely Year of Finishes too.
I think I found the setting blocks looking through old magazines.
T-shirt quilt is coming along.
All pieces have been stabilized.
These 3 need to be stitched on a larger piece.
The shirts were cut before I got them to wear as tank tops.
I can't get a square of any size out of them.
So, my solution will be to stitch them to another piece of stabilized t-shirt material.
Now the fun begins to figure out how they all go together.
I need to space out the blues more.

T-shirt quilt

Here are the pieces all cut out.
I have 3 that need some special handling to get them into a square.
Now the fun begins.
I think I will measure them again and draw things out to see how to place them with all the blue dispersed.

Sunday

WE had REALLY bad thunderstorms today.
Wish I'd taken a photo of the

Still working on the T-shirt quilt.
Making progress.
Went to Guadalupe State Park.
It's about an hour away and there was no sign of rain.
Water was nice.
Sunset on the way home.
I love these colors.
I finished the binding on the black and bright.
I wonder why I made it that long???
It is ready to be washed and will get a better photo at that time.
This was the Prairie Moon Procrastination Challenge for April.
Only a few months late.

Green Floral

Another UFO
I had the last border to finish from my border marathon.
I like how this one turned out.
I think I'll bind it in green.
Not sure when it will get quilted, but it needs a backing.
