Embroidery Class

This is on the embroidery machine with organza.
It's fly-away to work with, but I like the results.
I learned a few things, so I'll be doing a few more and see what I can make.
It was a good class.

Monday Design Wall

     I'm linking to

MY main design wall has some orphan blocks on it.
One of the challenges for the New Braunfels Area Quilt Guild is to find your orphan blocks and do something with them.
I have an idea for some of the larger ones too.
All the crates and stuff are for the retreat in March.
I'll be happy to see all that stuff gone.

I think these hearts are going to go back into their container.
They are not speaking to me, so it is time to clear the design wall.

The paper in the middle is a paper pieced tree that is a UFO.
All the green is cut. I need to cut the background.
I am still not making progress on this.
If it is not done, I might take it with me to the personal retreat in a couple of weeks.

The Blue quilt is the BOW we did at the HIll Country Mod Quilt Guild last year.
I am making it for a wedding gift.

I had a good week of getting things done.
My organization right now has lots of crates in the studio that will leave in March for the retreat.
Until then, I'll be working around them.

Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.

I made a couple of these pincushions for prizes for my guild.

Sent off a signature block for a blog friend.

QOV sew day

We had fun at the Grange for the QOV Sew Day
These are orphan blocks with a panel that I put together.
There will be a red border on this one, but we didn't have the right fabric with us.

These two young men were awesome!
They helped to arrange the blocks, take the blocks to the sewers, pin the rows together and be wonderful helpers.
We couldn't have done it without them.
The two finished group quilts.
The new sewers learned how to put borders on the quilts.
I think they did an absolutely wonderful job!
Goofing around.
I love quilting with this group.
Such a wonderful feeling around them.

Secret Quilter

Our small guild has a secret quilter program where we give a small gift each month.

Oh my, my secret quilter out did herself.

I've never had anything like the zippered pouch with my name on it.
I love tea.
That mug is huge.
It will be a joy to drink from.
The Valentine charms and the red pen will be used.
Amazing.
I'm a lucky quilter!

Monday Design Wall

     I'm linking to

MY main design wall has some orphan blocks on it.
One of the challenges for the New Braunfels Area Quilt Guild is to find your orphan blocks and do something with them.

Then, a challenge for the Hill Country Mod Quilt Guild to make something with hearts.
I made a pillow, but have all these left.
I'm still having trouble figuring out how to do what I want to do with these hearts.

Then, the blue on the right is from that last T-shirt quilt.
I forgot the zipper on Friday, so I had to bring it home.
I'll add a zipper at the bottom and then cut to size before I sew the last two sides.
Hopefully, it will be done soon.

The paper in the middle is a paper pieced tree that is a UFO.
All the green is cut. I need to cut the background.
