second monkey 'n round

Finished the leftover Monkey 'N Round.
I think it will be an OK size.
I'll make the binding and keep with it.
One more to quilt when I get home.

Progress

I wanted to get this top together today, but had to get DD situated at band camp.
That took lots longer than anticipated.
I have brown sashing to finish this off.
My plan was to use a keyboard outer border, but I don't have enough fabric.
This is the leftovers from a previous UFO.
I really do not like jelly rolls.
I should have this done tomorrow morning.

No slip foot pedal pad

See that foot pedal on the green out lined piece?
Here it is closer.  It seems to work.
DD waiting to go to Texas Tech University band camp.
This was around noon.

Quilting retreat, my own

I am in Lubbock, TX while DD is at band camp.
I'm quilting and brought a number of UFOs.
My first top finished is my road quilt.
It was nice to have it done.
I will quilt all these when I get home.
I plan on adding some matchbox cars and donating this to my Mom's nursing home's bazaar.
DD and I went swimming this evening.
She was my coach and I think she wore me out.
THese will probably be ornaments for the tree.  I need a hanger for them and maybe do something different in the middle.
My design wall.
Only place that would work was over the closet doors.
My cutting table is the stand the refrigerator is in.
DD suggested it and it is a perfect height for me.
My computer is actually on the desk.
I am having some issues with connectivity, so I might not be able to post as much s I wish.

My sewing and ironing board in the corner.
Made a table runner out of those leftover Christmas tree blocks.
I want to make a bow in the center, but I don't know how, yet.

Prairie Moon Organizational challenge

Prairie Moon has us doing a organizational challenge and this week is:

Organize your UFOs

This is something that has happened before and I've taken so many out of the cabinet to take with me that my UFO cabinet is getting some space.
This is my UFO cabinet.
It is under the window seat at the top of the stairs.
I have 162 documented UFOs.
There are times when another one shows up and I wonder where it was hiding.
I know I should go through them again and really either number or label them better.
It is sometimes difficult to see what I was thinking when I put it on the list and named it.
My UFO pile also includes the ones pulled for special challenges.
They reside under my pressing table in the UFO bag.
They are labeled with the group and name I gave them.
It is easy to pull from these each month.
I had 18 here to start and now am down 10.

I'm going to be gone on next week, and I have them in a manner I want right now, so I will keep my system the way it is.

Last week was make lists.
I have updated my to do list.
My trip list is done.
I have my updated booster list.
I have my updated house list.
It was a good list week.

no quilting

But I did get to embroider.
DD is going to band camp and they have theme days.
They have a twin day.
Only problem is she does not know anyone else going to the camp.
So, she came up with this:
