Family and quilting

What a perfect day this is going to be.
Went to see How to train your dragon and now I'm quilting a QOV. I loaded it this morning and have the green thread ready to go. This will be the last QOV I have in house.
Photos later.

Not an April Fools Joke

OK, I have started feeling better and thought I'd better update what I've been up to. Not been using lots of stash, but been getting items out of here that I need to have accomplished.
So, here is the GS pillow I made for a girl that has to leave because the family is moving away from the area.
I've done some embroidery testing, until my machine started acting bad and I had to take it in to have it fixed.
These are QOV's I've been working on -- #78,#85, #84, #83, & #82.
I worked on a small quilt from the class. It is called Meg's garden from Jo's club and I named it Ashley's garden. I don't normally make small quilts, but this class is challenging me. I'm working on the dreaded applique.

I embroidered a large label for a love quilt. It was a fun one to do. Can't post a photo of it yet.
I had to redo the three Birthday blocks I made for February and I made one for March. The post office lost the one package that had 3 blocks in it. So hoping they show up sometime soon.
I quilted a quilt for Sandy and LOVE these colors!

Fabric usage for March was 9.79 yards used. None brought in, so that was a good thing. I used 26.39 yards of fabric. I will try and update this weekly from now on.
So, I guess I've been busier than I thought. But, most of it has been quilting for others instead of doing my own things. Now to focus on some of my other projects I need to complete.

I'm here

I've not dropped off the face of the earth, but it felt like that for awhile. I'm finally getting over my virus that knocked me out.

I have been quilting QOVs and other people's things. I've not used much of my own things up, but I have been accomplishing stuff.

I'll be posting more later.

busy busy

I've been busy with DH being home and trying to get some things done.
I have tested some embroidery designsCan't get the Easter egg photo to turn. Aren't these adorable?A thimble - at least the 10 year olds thought so. I love this Easter basketI had fun doing the stitch outs.
I made one of the baby heart strings quilts. These will go to Wilford Hall for the parents who won't be taking a baby home. :(
I finished quilting Tammy's quilts, but I need to find the box to put them all in.
I finished the wall hanging for my class and now need to do some prep work for the next one. I would like to try this one again. Maybe in different colors.
I finished the quilting and binding on the Texas quilt. It might not go to where I thought it would, but will make a nice give sometime in the future.

quilting

Tammy sent me 3 quilts and this is the first of them I finally got to quilt. I love the lime green in this one.
Two more to go.

Long arm

I've been home with an ill child. this is her new bathing suit. How can this child just be 10???? So, I loaded some quilts and finished a few things.

This first one was done when I was asked to help with this quilt. They sent me the blocks and wanted it put together and quilted. I used my backing and binding, so I actually busted some stash. It turned out really big and beautiful. I finished the binding yesterday.
I did this quilting for Sandy, my neighbor. I love this quilt. Her color and fabric choices are yummy.
My camera is not taking very good photos, but they are document.

working a bit

I stitched out this little chocolate bunny.
I also made this little portable design board. It helps when working on small projects. I used leftover flannel, but anything can be used. It was a fun project.
I quilted this baby quilt for Marianne. I did quilt another one for Marianne. I made biased binding for both and will attach them and mail to Marianne soon.
While working on these, I'm making 1" hst for the little wall hanging from class. I have the center done, and plan on using it for a table decoration, so I think I won't worry about it being perfect. I have one row that is less than perfect.
DD is not feeling well, so I might have a child home tomorrow.
