Crocheting

Not a great photo, but it shows the huge hexagon afghan I finished yesterday.
I think this is why I've not completed so much quilting this year.
DH loves it.

Postcards

I like to display the cards I've received, both recent and past.
Since I'd had these out for the postcard class, I put them up there.
The one in the upper left is from Norma this year.
The second row, the third in with the big swirly heart is from Lynda this year.
The rest are from different years.

Kimberly Einmo

I received my BOM from Kimberly Einmo today.
This came with the new sewing machine.
I am taking it with me.
Maybe I'll work on this instead of the other things I packed.

Pillowcase

I made a pillowcase for a test run for DD.
During one of her social work classes in college, they have to do a project.
She says it sounds very much like a Girl Scout Gold Project. :)
But, they have to work with an organization of their choosing.
Her group chose an ICU or NCU group to help the families and babies with the challenges they are facing.
One of the ideas I saw not too long ago was to make pillowcases for the mattresses.
DD wanted me to make one to show to the group what she was talking about.
So, this is it.
She will take it with her tomorrow and share it with her group and the organization.
Does anyone in the New Braunfels/San Marcos, TX area know of an elderly group that would like to help college students with a project?

Charity quilt #48

Last one for the month.
I quilted lassos because there were boots in the fabric.

charity quilt #47

Charity quilt #46 that I did an organic stitch on it.
I messed up in one spot, but that is OK, it worked out fine.
One more to go.

Secret Sister gift

I love the pincushions.
Look at the cute little one for my finger.
The other one is so sweet.
That green needle threader has a light in it, isn't that just amazing?
Thank you Secret Sister.
I love it all.
