Bad quilting week

Well, I knew it was not going to be great, but I thought I'd at least get something done.
Had meetings every night this week.
Spent Monday working to get an oil change and a flat tire fixed.
Tuesday was trying to get the car cleaned out and the seats out of the middle row.
Wednesday was spent loading the car.
Here it is with all the instruments in it.  Room to spare.  LOL
Randy moved some around and could see out the back.
He spent all night driving to get ahead of the storm.
Told us he was in white out conditions.
:(
I'm not sure where he stopped.
I had to go to bed by 1 am.
Guess I'm getting practice for the 2 am report tomorrow.
I'm taking applique with me, but other than that, I'm not sure what is happening in the sewing department.
I'll be MIA for a week.

Thimble case

OK, so I have a thimble collection that got lost on the shelf.
I bought an inexpensive glass covered thimble case.
It's been sitting here a few weeks.
DH and I were home at the same time and he hung it for me.
The bottom row has all my coins collection.
Pin cushions and other things on the shelf and thimbles where they will stay clean.

Heart block

I am still learning this camera.  All four corners were pink snowballs.  I used a variety of the other colors.  Wish I'd turned the corners with the other colors.

Prairie Moon Procrastination

Prairie Moon Procrastination project is to have picked 12 things to finish and work on one a month.
I decided I'd just let her pick the number and I'd go with that project.
Her number for this month is #8
I like that because it is my minkee pillows.
I might also use up some of the extra minkee I have around here.  I know the ladies in my Mom's nursing home love those minkee pillows.
So, the stuff in the baggie are the pillows already started.
The pile of Minkee is what could be used for something else.

Design Wall

My two design walls are as such

Super hero quilt.
Need to make sure what I want to border each patch with and the alternating blocks.

I can't figure out why the camera won't just flash.
Anyway, this is the Wilder T-shirt quilt that needs sew together.
It has partial seams.

Hope I get things done prior to departures.

Paper update

So, I don't know why things have to look so bad before they
One big bag of trash from all the papers I've gone through.
Smaller trash can full of papers I've gone through.
BeforeDuring

It seems I have so much stuff that it just makes trying to get it done look worse than before.
The red bag is taken care of and in it's new home.
The blue bag has been gone through and is being used for things I'm finding for 2014 that will be filed in the white box.
The basket weave container is emptied and awaiting a new use.
Under the red bag is another basket weave container that is empty and awaiting a new use.
The black and white bag is about half done.
That is all of Mom and Dad's stuff.
All the easy stuff is taken care of.
Now for that emotional stuff that needs worked on.
The pink milk carton is where all of Mom's files are.
The step stool is there to stop me from bending over all the time.
The desk has a couple of things staged on it to do the next step, like shredding.
Even though at first glance it looks worse than to begin with, it isn't.
I'm not sure how much more will be done this week, but I'll keep working on it.
I have lots of meetings and then an early morning departure on Friday.
