June Projects

I joined in on a number of Challenges to help me focus on my UFOs and such.
I love the accountability and will keep reporting.
I'm putting them all in one post because it's easier to keep track of.
This is the current status of the projects I've not completed.
This has been a rather strange year with health and motivation issues, but I'm accomplished some things.
Each month I update the list and show what I've accomplished the month before.
Then, it comes off the list as DONE.

 Elm Street OMG -

May - Complete at least one of the T-shirt Pillows

The vacation took a toll on this project.
The leftover pieces from the quilt have been dissected and are ready to make into a front and back, but not finished.

June - Irish Stars pillow covers

Get It Done - February 1. Ann's 2006 NYE project

March  - 8. Jo's Club Teal & Brown

April - Copper & Teal Quilt

May -12. Tie One On

June - Embroidery blocks

6 & 6 - May - Keyboard cover
Finished the testing of the Keyboard cover
It went to together well and I used one of the fall blocks leftover from another UFO.
I can't show a photo because it was a test pattern.

June - Sparkling Sampler

All People Quilt APQ - April - Map of Texas

May - #6 Ann's Mystery Star (NYE?)
I can't find this in the bin, so I'm thinking it is the NYE Mystery that was drawn by stashbusters.

June - Red Hat Purse

May Color is Christmas
As sad as it is, I did not get anything done with my Christmas drawer. :(
But, there is always another month.

June color is yellow

Color Challenge - April Color is Orange.
The keyboard cover was orange, so I'll count that in this color challenge.
This is the UFO block I used.

May Color is Green.

Green drawers are full and are takng more time than I wish, but they are being worked on.

June Color is teal/aqua

March #32 - Christmas Stockings -- Dragon for Jon

February #53 - Fall Panel 1

April #61 - Fluffy Pillow

It is a pillow cover, so there needs to be a pillow form for it.

April #79 - Hummingbird blocks

May # 7 - Bread & Butter Flag & Stars

May #39 - Embroidery Blocks
There are so many of these that they will not all be used, but I hope I do a few

June #9 is 30's bulls eye blocks

These need lots of work for them to become a quilt, so I hope I can do that.
Maybe I'll make some mug rugs for gifts from them instead.
Time will tell.

June #92 is Miscellaneous HST

Home Sweet Home

Well, we are home early.
Alberto was going to drop too much rain for the rest of our vacation, so we came home early.
DS met us to unload the car, so it was great to be home.

A/C was not working properly. :I
But, they came out and it is cooling some, but not like it should.
They will come back on Wed for a full tune up and cleaning of the unit.

I did't even get the vacation stuff put away because it got so hot inside.
Maybe today.
It was too hot to move much, so not much sewing done either, but I did cut some star blocks and will get them started when I do get to my studio.

Computer decided it would not work.
Yikes, that is not what I wanted to happen.

I didn't eat right yesterday because of the frustrations, so I paid for it in the evening.
Woke up in the middle of the night, so I'm up for awhile.
We will see for how long.

Glad to be home and maybe I'll finish something before the end of the month.

HST

Vacation is wonderful
We are on the 13th floor and this is our view at night.

Wonderful water in Destin, FL
Fun Universal Studios, FL events
To a day of cutting HST.
Not as many as I'd like to have done, but more than I might have.
Lots of 1.5" HST.
I have many more to do.
My shoulder is giving me trouble, so I'm being careful.

Not much of the cut off pieces, but I'm down a few.
WE are not having lots of plan for tomorrow, so I might get a few more trimmed.
