A New Design Wall Monday

Judy from Small Quilts and Doll Quilts is going to host Design Wall Monday.

My final stars and stripes is in process.
It won't be long as soon as I stop quilting on the long arm.
I have been adding strips together when I'm using the sewing machine for binding and such.
This is the backing for the purple stars and stripes.
I hope to get it loaded today.

MCM

Main Crush Monday has us post what we are excited about.
This has been a week of senior stuff.
Lots of concerts.
Lots of additional activities.
Many fun time with my special daughter.
But, even with all that going on, we had extra time at time.
DH has been painting the downstairs, so I've stayed away as much as I can.
I've been quilting
The gray stars and stripes is done.
I
The blue has a bit to go
The purple has the backing made and is ready to load.
The test quilt is quilted.
The second music quilt is quilted.
It's ready to trim and get the binding ready.

I still have a number of quilts to get quilted, but I feel I have made progress.

This morning I can quilt, but after about 2 we are booked for a number of lessons and the thirty one party.

Finishes

The first Stars and Stripes that is finished.
The gray turned out so nice, all because of the help of friends.
Thank you all!!!

the second finish I can't show you because it was a test quilt.

Design Wall, Main Crush Monday

Well, I still have the possibility of enlarging this quilt top
If I can find the lime green and the background blue, I'll add 2 rows - one on top and one on bottom.
If not, it will stay this size.
60" square is not bad, but I don't like square quilts. :)
I have more of these towels to finish embroidering.
The last of the stars and strips quilts needs more blues cut and pieced.
This bag is full of the 2.5" squares that will make up the baby clothing quilt.
Saturday was my small quilting group.
I didn't sew because we had a Mother's Day brunch at the nursing home.
I went in the afternoon and stabilized baby clothing for another 3 hours.
It's a never ending battle.
This is a nice sized pile, but there is still a bag to go.
I do think I'm going to start the process and get this up on the design wall.
I am fairly sure I will have way too many pieces, so maybe I'll just make one with the mixed pieces for Mom.
