ABC quilt top

I put the last of the borders on the ABC quilt.
Now for the backing.

Christmas sampler

The top is done.
I was thinking about putting embroidery in some of the blank spots, but I don't think so now.
I think I'll do something with the quilting instead.
Now to find a backing.

adjusting shelves

I loaded all the panels onto the top shelf.
Please remind me to use them instead of buying more.
I love the panels here.
These are being shared with others.
Placing them on the top shelf will allow me to gain 1/3 of another shelf.
I think I should be able to adjust the fabrics to have it sorted nicer.

Grrrr

Explain to me why bobbins run out with little quilt to go?
I tend to run out in the last small area of a quilt. :(

So, now I need to load another bobbin and it will have lots of thread left to wait until I use red again.
Oh well, the quilt is almost done.

Prairie Moon Studio Organizing

It's Thursday and Prairie Moon has another organizing task.

Learn to use a new tool

This is a neat thing to think about.  I have so many tools and things to use.
I think I want to try and use this template set.
I call it Marianne's star and i started it one time and didn't finish it.
I wonder if I can find my UFO that is already started?
Marianne uses this for her love blocks she does.
If I don't find it in my cabinet, I think I'll do one with St Patrick's day fabrics for Mom's door.

Mom glued her fingers together gluing for DD.

15 minute spiff up #6

I worked on batting and made some progress, but in fact there is more to do.
Maybe next time I have extra time.

The new task for the 15 minute spiff up is:

Straighten Up and Organize Your Fabric -- Yardage!

Now, this is a task.
Most of my fabric is organized, but it needs to be spiffed up.
My Christmas fabric on the top shelves is organized and folded nicely.
The FQs are the only ones I have, so they are great.
It looks like my blues have taken over my reds.
I need to re-look at the novelties on the bottom shelves and see if I need to rearrange colors.
This is about half the other cabinet.
It looks like some of the colors need to be refolded.
The problem with this type of cabinet is you have to pull out when you want a certain fabric.
Sometimes it doesn't pull very well.
The bins to the right are scraps by color, the but containers below my applique is all my reproduction fabrics.
I don't know what I want to do with them.
I'm not in Jo's club anymore because of time, so maybe they need to go into the stash?

This is something I was thinking about working on, so I'm glad it is part of the challenge.
It will take more than 15 minutes.
