The quilt is a Judy Neimeyer pattern called "Glacier Star" and measures 68" x 68".

This quilt placed THIRD at the Dallas Quilt Show in March in the Open Division Group/Friendship Category.

Design Wall Monday

I'm linking to Small Quilts Doll Quilt's Design Wall Monday and Monday Makings.

This design wall has the Shenendoah Quilt pieces on the left side.

The center is the T-shirt quilt that needs to be trimmed to be shorter and to add some sashing to the center and a border.

This design wall is bursting at the seams.

I have some 9-patch blocks on the left top.

Next are the log cabin blocks from Houston.

Ashley's wolf wall hanging -- yes there are more than wolves on there.

Then, the extra panel pieces in a quilt to be sold at our boutique.

The fabric to the right will border each of the animals it is next to.

The table topper on the bottom.

If I'd just take the time to make some setting triangles, that would go together very quickly.

A little sewing today

I'm making placemats for DD

I have the yellow and now the red done.

One to make the blue and green ones.

These are all from my sting bins. 

I am in a block swap with my friend, Lorena.

I am doing brown with gray backgrounds.

Everyone has a different color.

This is my first try.

Lorena made me try the Loc Block ruler for flying geese.

They do make it easier, but you need one for each size flying geese you are going to make.

Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.

I used scraps to make the test block I was working on for Midnight Stargazer.

I'm using scraps from the brown scrap drawer for swap blocks.

I dug into the string containers (there are two of them).

I finished the placemats.

I do think I like the diagonal setting better.

What have I been doing?

I put all the fabric I'm done with while I'm in the middle of a project in this laundry basket. 

It fills up and if I would follow what I should be doing, I'd clean it out each evening, but....

The scraps to the right at all the pieces that needed to go back into the scrap drawers.

I'm happy to say they are all in their new home.

All the yardage is back in the cabinets.

I've already started to fill the bin up again. 😒

Each month I make DD a wreath and 4 placemats.

It is her first year in an apartment, so I wanted her to have something special.

The roommates love them too.

I also make a bandana for Diesel, a roommate's dog.

This is the June bandana. 

I had one more CIL quilt that I needed to quilt.

I've had them a long time and just have not been able to finish them.

But, I quilted it with these new to me loops. 

I believe I need to practice more to consistency, but I like them.

I'll show the complete quilt when the binding is on it.

Another UFO that DD wanted.

It started to be all wolves, but then she saw the panel again and decided she wanted a wall-hanging. 

I finished the top today.

I'll be loading it when I get the CIL quilt unloaded.

I'll probably give it to her for getting all A's in her Junior year.

It's almost been a week

I used to be so good about updating my blog every day.

It looks like I'm not that productive or just don't sit at the computer enough.

I have been reading more.

I finished the Cobbled Court Quilts Novel series by Marie Bostwick.

I ordered a couple more of her books.

I have been sewing.

I've just not been finishing.

I don't have any new photos to share.
