Pincushion

I'm in a pincushion swap.
We make one per month and receive one per month.

Thank you Bethany.
The music theme is perfect for our family.

OMG

I worked on this today, and did a little quilting, but would like to quilt it on the long arm.
This is my OMG at Elm Street quilts.

Design Wall Monday

I'm linking to Small Quilts Doll Quilt's Design Wall Monday and Monday Makings.
My main design wall is a bit strange right now.
That table runner on the right is another UFO - Bird of Paradise.
I need to do more quilting on it, but want to use the long arm for that.
The squares are the colored blocks and then a Texas my Texas blocks.
I'm going to have to adjust the sizes because of how the panel is printed.

My baby clothing quilt is coming along.
59 blocks made and all but 10 have been stabilized, so if I can get those stabilized, it is just the sewing together.

I'm also working on another test quilt, so that can't be shown.

The long arm is being used too.
I have the last test quilt I did on it and can't show you.
I started the weekend with 9 quilts to quilt and have quilted 4 of them.
This one will be done today and I hope to load another one.

August Commitments

This is the updated status of my August commitments.
Note: this is the same list I've been using, so the changes are in a different color.
green is the current update.
So many things to be done in August.
I've been given a later date on the baby clothing, which is a blessing.
I will continue to work on it, but am not so stressed out about it.
Other things keep popping up and needing my attention, so this list is actually longer, but I'm only tracking these items.
I've had another item added to this list, which is for DD's roommates for the apartment.
So, some things went to the back burner.
We also spent a couple of days moving her into the apartment.
I also forgot about the embroidery project for a friend, which is almost done.
So, not everything was finished, but lots of stuff was done.
Everything but the Baby Clothing Quilt is done.
Since I was given an extension on it, I'll work it and have it done in September.
I'd say I did well on my commitments, and even on some not on this list.

DONE 1. Quilt previous test quilt and get it ready to take on the trip a week from Sunday to bind in the car.
(ready for the trip)
(we are back from the trip and Interwoven is bound and on my bed)

DONE 2. Test quilt to be done by the 10th
(finished the top, so I'm OK. I don't have to have it quilted)

DONE 3. Food embroidery should be done mid August.
(I'm taking on the trip and don't see a problem with getting it done in August)
(Finished one of the columns while on trip, 2 more to go)
Top is quilted and binding is applied ready to stitch down.
Binding is done with label attached.

4. Baby Clothing quilt done by mid/late August/September.
(This one is the kicker because of how time consuming it is)
(Made a few more of the 16 patches while on trip 32 made)
(Continually making these blocks - 43 done)
46 blocks done.
56 blocks done.
59 blocks done.

5. 2 Clemens T-shirt quilts to be done by mid August
DONE 5a. (One is stabilized, cut out and sashing and border cut.)
First one is no problem to finish)
First one is done and picked up.
DONE 5b. Second one is on the design wall waiting to be stabilized.
Arrangement has been figured out.
Center and first border is done.
One more border before quilting.
It is read to load to be quilted.
It is done!

DONE 6. 2009 NYE Mystery to be done by end of August.
(It is quilted and ready for the car.)
(It is quilted and ready for label)

Sunday Stash Report

I worked on lots of things this week, but most of it was embroidery.
I finished a T-shirt quilt.
But, I bought fabric for some projects for DD.
Looks like I need to get busy and finish some UFOs.
I try to keep the UFO finishes at around 70%, but it has dropped lately.
