Well, with a little focus, I have quite a few squares made. I am needing to make 3 more 9" stars and 1 more 6" star. then, the fun part comes in trying to figure out the puzzle. 
I will use some camouflage in the spaces to help the stars float a little more. So, here is what I've got done so far.

Now, the question will be -- what do I do for the borders? Ideas?
