Valentines Coasters

42 Coasters here are going to the school DS works at

These went to my Physical Therapy folks.

I still need to make a few sets for a friend and some that are Easter colors.

Think I'll work on something else for a bit.

1. Quilt Clemens T-shirt Quilt
It is done and delivered.

2. WITB
I'm working mainly in the extra bedroom because it has been piled with excess items.
Well, I had to go into the extra bedroom and move things around and go through some boxes.
Found one of the flashlights that was missing and will continue in there.
No photos because I started without taking one.
Found some jewelry DD was looking for.
Found some donation items.
Found some trash.
Found some T-shirts for DD's T-shirt quilt.
I found lots of boxes in boxes.
Tossed lots of them and only kept good storage items.
DH decided the shed needed gone through.
so, we have a pile of boxes that need to be worked through too.
His timing, not mine.
It's my desk AGAIN.
How can it get out of control so quickly?????
I need to figure out a better to have things on my desk, so I don't get so messy so quickly.
It's cleaner, and I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing that makes me let it get so messy.
This just sort of happened.
I asked the neighbor if he wanted the cafe vienna tins and he said yes for his GS troop.
So, I pulled them out and even forgot one bag full, which are now out.
But, that meant I made a mess and decided it was time to go through all the items.
Why do I have so many glass and plastic Christmas ornament balls?
Anyway, some things are being donated and some kept and organized for use.
I added in two drawers because I need to find a place for my essential oils.
I wish it would have taken the third drawer I have, but....

4. Valentines Coasters
I still have more to make, but it is a start.

5. Make Color Guard bags

I lost my zippers that I wanted to use for these.
But, I tested quilting double layers of batting and am using that for a bag.

6. Work on Baby Clothing quilt

7. Quilt a Charity Quilt (CIL, QOV, NBAQG)

8. Finish Birthday Postcards
I finished January ones, but didn't get a photo.

9. Work on Postcard swaps
(Hearts & Hearts, January Flowers, Fans, Rainbow)
Ended up not doing these, but January Flowers was cancelled.

This is the baby clothing quilt.
I'm finally working on the last row.
Lots of 2.5" squares.

This is one of the Stashbuster UFOs.
Actually, it is two of them put together that came up this month.
Easter Embroidery and leftover baby pieces.
Head start on the February numbers.
I thought I'd put green with it, but now I'm thinking purple.
I have enough scraps to make anything happen.

Quilt Guild #5

Decided to start with a small quilt.
I did waves on the strips to give some motion since the lighthouses had waves around them.

I think I will load a QOV because of the blue thread.

I should open the CIL box and see what color is in there.

Clemens T-shirt quilt & Fling

I needed to fling some of the canisters.
The neighbor has a large girl scout troop and can use them.
I still want the metal ones, but the plastic ones I wanted to share.
I need to organize the new space, but there is much more space in this cabinet.
I wonder what I can put in there?
I finished the binding on the Clemens T-shirt quilt.
It can be passed on to the boosters to put in their silent auction.
This was my One Monthly Goal for Elm Street quilting.

Clemens T-shirt quilt quilted

I tested quilting with two layers of warm and natural.
It works, but I had to go slower.
Clemens T-shirt quilt is quilted.
Now to make binding and bind it.

It is finished
2b. Stabilize Clemens
It still needs to be quilted and bound.

3. Organizational Challenge
If you have fabric laying around, put it away.
Tidy up the space that has collected your creativity.
This is where fabrics go when I'm using them and trimming, or pulling from the closet and they don't want to go back.
It is way overflowing and needs to be put away.
Well, it is sorted, scraps are all put away.
The bin is empty.
How long will it stay that way, and can I develop a new habit of putting it all away on Friday or Saturdays?

4. WITB

This bag was crazy.
More crafting items, lots of receipts, college paperwork that is to be filed in DD's folder, catalogs for a self defense item DD want for when she returned from her late class, makeup items, and all sort of papers that were tossed.
I'd like a day when I didn't have any of these crazy items around me.
Since I create them and have taught my family to create them, I doubt that will ever happen.

5. Make Color Guard bags

6. Work on Baby Clothing quilt

Ready to put that side together.
Design wall is ready for it to be up there again.
k\
It is so big and heavy, it is difficult to put up on the design wall.
I need to make the long strip of  pieces.
Everything is cut, so it is just a matter of sewing it all together.

7. Bind Bread and Butter Stars
8. Work on Pixie Garden

Baby Boy clothing quilt.
I only have one 6" row to assemble and add to the quilt.
It is a very heavy quilt.
They want blue jean fabric for the back.
I'm trying to find the lightest weight blue jean fabric and having trouble.
Clemens T-shirt Quilt
This will be coming off soon to be quilted.

Pixie Garden complete

Sat and watched a couple shows tonight and completed the binding.
I think it turned out OK.

Pixie Garden

It is quilted. I think I'm binding in the dark green.
I need to make the binding and sew it on.

Pincushion

Fat Quarter Shop had a tutorial on making a crocheted pincushion.
I modified it a bit.
My hook must have too bit or the yarn.
I only did 4 rounds and it finished at 5".
