Quilting done

To learn more about my challenge, see this post.
I quilted it in gold thread.
Flowers and free motion quilting was done.
Each center has a flower.
Each corner too.

Guild Challenge

My guild is having a challenge to use your initials to pick out a color, pattern and quilting pattern.

My initials are MJF

I decided to make a table runner out of Maroon and Marigold/Mustard Yellow
in the pattern of Jewel box.
I’ll quilt Flowers on it.

I finished the top, now for the flowers quilting.
Will I use my new machine or load it on the long arm?
I'm not sure yet.

Under the Sea

It's hard to see the stitches, but I played with my new machine's decorative stitches and love the zigzag.

Design Wall Monday

I'm linking to Small Quilts Doll Quilt's Design Wall Monday and Monday Makings.

The one design wall has the trip pieces I've made.

I have a few more sashing pieces worked on this.
I hope to use this as the leader ender for the week.
I do have some doctor appointments scheduled this week, so I'm not sure how much time I will be doing things.
After that, I will be working on DD's quilt.

Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.

I was on a quilt retreat in Biloxi, Mississippi and didn't pull out my hand stitching at all, so I have nothing to show today.
I did crochet on the trip the first overnight.
I do need to finish the binding on the two other placemats.

My New Baby

I went to a retreat in Biloxi Mississippi.
We sewed on these machines.
I brought one home
Janome 9450 Professional.
After I cleaned off the area where the Janome 6500 had been for 15 years, this is how it looked.

Then, DH put the foot pedal and cutter foot together for me.
I've never used a foot that cut the thread.
The next step was taking off the part around the free arm spot.
The extension table is good sized and nice.
I finished sewing the block I was working on before I left for the Escape.
I'm excited, but I need to go get DD.
When I come back I'll post photos of the Escape.

Prairie Moon Organization challenge

Get rid of one pile.

I'm a piler, so that will be something to hit when I return from my Escape Quilt Retreat.
