Let's Bee Social

Let's Bee Social has a link up on what you are working on.
Sparkling Sampler blocks need to be finished

Covered in Love sent me 2 quilts that need quilting

Western Sunset needs to be a top.
I rand out of the yellow, so I'm debating on just adding a final border in brown or another orange border, or finding another yellow.
Still up for grabs

sparkling sampler

I am way behind on this one.
The July color for Rainbow scrap challenge was blue.
I have two blocks to make in blue.
Block D is done.

All of the sparkling Sampler blocks.

African Fabric

Casey, a friend of  mine from DD's grade school days, gave me some African fabric.
Oh my goodness.
It barely fits on my design wall.
There are two of these.
I will need to do a whole cloth quilt out of this one.
I just don't know how to quilt it.
Any ideas?
There are two of these panels.
They look like place mats to me.
Isn't this beautiful?
If I added a black border and I could figure out how to quilt it, it would be a gorgeous quilt.
this is yardage.
It is 6 yards.
It's beautiful
This is the tag on the fabric.

Here it is in the basket that it came in.

It is not something that is helping my stash busting, but oh it is beautiful.

Thank you, Casey!

Test Quilt is done

I quilted these swirly vines and love the design, but it takes so long.
But, I had much swirls in the fabric and it just seemed the right answer.
Can't show you, but it will be in The Quilt Pattern Magazine in the future.
Love her pattern too.

So, the commitment that HAD to be done by Friday is done early.
Report has been sent and I can go on to my next project.

Western Sunset is coming along.
I have 2 covered in love quilts to quilt and they are so fun.
I have my Day Lily to practice organic quilting on.
So, I think I am going to work on piecing batting this morning and see what I can get quilting on.

Test Quilt

Test quilt is ALMOST loaded.
Have a raging headache, so I am not quilting it tonight.
I'll work on it tomorrow morning.
I don't have anything planned outside the home, so maybe I can focus on getting something done here.

Motivational Monday

4-10 September 2017

1.Work on Irish Stars quilt-a-long
22 of 81 done

2. Reorganize the studio
All of Mom's things are filed and in a box.
That will make life easier.
The batting proved to make me clean up under the long arm
It is reorganized, but behind it needs some help still.
That will take more time.
I'm slowly working away at it.

3.Work on baby clothing quilt
Have a few rows sewn together.
It takes lots of pinning.
Taking it slow to get some of the other things to a different stage.

4. WITB
I found a rotary cutter in one of the boxes.
That is a nice find. :)
Of course, found some scraps too.

5. Finish day lilies
Top is done.
Batting pieced ready to use.
Backing found.
Need to finish another quilt top before I start quilting on Day Lily.

6. Finish Test Quilt
Not finished, well on its way.
Center is complete and borders started.
It won't take long to get it to the completed stage.
