T-shirt is done

It is big.
Barely able to get a photo and then it isn't all that good.
But, the binding is done.
The label is done.
All 3 boys were trombone players.
I'm thankful to have completed this.
Now on to the pillows with the extra shirts.
Linking up to OMG.

Design Wall Monday

Linking to Design Wall Monday.
Lots of states already redone, but more to do.
Thank goodness most are west coast states. LOL
Hope I have enough steam a seam to finish this.
This is my new focus.
Yes, I still have the T-shirt pillows to finish, but the binding is almost done on the quilt.
I have to get the label on the back and finish that corner for the binding to be done.
6 Hummingbird blocks done.
i'm not sure how many there are in this UFO.
I've only used them as leader/enders, so it might take some time.

Still coughing, so it is slow going.
But, got the smaller T-shirt quilt bound, so that is wonderful.
I'm in the black for the month, which is good.
I still have the binding to do on the other T-shirt quilt and am working on the state quilt.
Cough has reduced, so that is a positive.

State quilt

Not done, but look, it is on the wall and I have some of the states on it!
That is an improvement.

Slow and steady

I put this together this morning and there was one sashing star upside down. :(
Had to unstitch and just sewed it back together.
I will now only put a blue border around this because I need it done now.
Once I have that done, it should not take much to get finished.
Quilting is the normal T-shirt quilting that takes time, but I've done some of these shirts before, so I have my idea of how to do it efficiently.

It's raining and is cooled down.
Beautiful evening.

I'm also running the embroidery machine.

Sew Fresh Quilts

So, it's the middle of the week and we have a link up.
Where am I
One more row and the center of the next T-shirt quilt is ready for borders
Unloaded T-shirt quilt needs to be trimmed (hard to do when you are coughing so much) and then binding sewn on.
Nothing on State quilt.
I need to just take pieces with me and work on as I can.
Another hummingbird block as a leader ender
Nothing on the pillows yet.

I think I am distracted by coughing and too many things to do.

Motivational Monday

16 - 22 April 2018

1. Bind CIL
It is bound, but I found some quilting that the machine was crazy, so I need to take out some of the stitching and re-quilt part of it.

2. Keep working on studio

3. Under Tulle Post Card

4. Organization Challenge

5. Quilt T-shirt quilt
It is quilted

6. WITB
Tell me why I had a box that had crocheted gifts in it, marking pens for a quilt top, shampoo, leftover fabric and paperwork?
Anyway, they are all in their places and I can find something else.

7. Re-trace on background fabric and fuse states to the Map Quilt
As you can see, I've done a little bit more, but really need to work on this one.
I have not been feeling well, and been to the doctor twice in one weekend.
Not a fun time.
Today is mostly to sleep it off.

8. Continue to work on Clemens T-shirt quilt
I almost have all the columns sewn together.
I need to get the top done.

Bad week. I have bronchitis and didn't know what it was until late Friday.
I was exhausted and got very little accomplished this week.

23-29 April 2018

1. un-stitch bad stitching on CIL

2. Keep working on studio

3. Post Cards

Design Wall Monday

These are for the pillows.
I think that middle one needs an adjustment, because I don't like how off the bottom right is from the rest.
The two sections on the either side will be one pillow.
I have the other part of the one that is together ready to sew back together.
I think the three across the bottom will be either a roll pillow or I'll put one of the extras I have with it.

the rest of this T-shirt quilt is at the sewing machine getting the next column together.
Once I get the center done, I'll be making 4 stars for cornerstones on the border and then a plain border.
It is close to being done.
Need to work on the states.
Maybe that is something I could take and do when I'm watching TV?

Well, got sick this week and managed to stitch most days, but didn't organize much at all.
Coughing with bronchitis is not conducive to accomplishing lots.
After all week, the T-shirt quilt is quilted and will be bound this week.

Postcards

Aren't they beautiful?
Pat did the blue moon on the top left
Nancie did the Batik wonder on top right.
Nancie also did the April Showers on the bottom.
I just love swapping with these wonderful ladies.
So much fun.
Thank you

Now I know

I am still quilting the T-shirt quilt.
No energy and it's a big enough quilt.
I was coughing so much I didn't want to run the long arm.
Finally decided to try for a same day appointment and got one late afternoon.
Yikes, breathing treatment later and lots of meds I was sent home.
It's hard to quilt with achy body, headache, sinus infection, oxygen level at 89% and coughing.
I ate and took the first dose of everything and went to sleep.
I still have a cough, but I feel so much better
I need to finish that last half of this short pass and then roll it to the end.
I hope I feel up to quilting it a few minutes a time today and then getting it bound.

Still quilting

It's been a slow couple of days.
Allergies are the pits.
why does it take so long?
Finding the space in the middle of the design that is not printed.
Most of these shirts are lightly printed, so it is not so bad to work, but still takes lots of starts and stops.
Plus, I'm not feeling all that great.
I have finished two of the 5 rows, so I'm making progress.

It's Loaded

Finally had the energy and time to load it.
Now to have DD stop have a crisis with her roommate and I'll be able to start quilting it.
I need to really clean the machine and change needle before I start.
wish me luck.

Motivational Monday

9 - 15 April 2018

1. Quilt CIL
After some trials, I got this one quilted.
Now to help out by binding it.

2. Keep working on studio
My basket of fabric that gets tossed in is fairly clean this week.
Been doing smaller bags/boxes and like the feel that things are getting put away.
Yes, there will always be more to do

3. Under Tulle Post Card

4. Organization Challenge
I think I'll work on my desk, the cutting table and the pressing table.
Flat surfaces still need more help.
I'm not sure if this one will every be complete.

Desk
I do like my desk.
I have that pile of papers that need something done with them this week, so that works.
It was dusted and items were tossed or put where they belong.
I suppose I do like things around me, but need to have more order than I did have.

cutting Table
This one normally is fairly good, because if it isn't I can't use it.
I have projects that I'm working on now on it, and that is OK.
I'd like a shelf that I would put those pincushions on at the back of the cutting mat.

Pressing Table
It's in use.
I think that is I would just get the Irish stars done, much of this would go away.
The things on the pressing table are things I'm working on.

5. Quilt T-shirt quilt
Not quilted, but it is ready to load.

6. WITB
I got one bag cleaned out and put away.
Much of it was papers, where do they all come from?
I found my doodling notebook. I think that could be fun to play in.
I hope to go through some more things this week.

7. Re-trace on background fabric and fuse states to the Map Quilt
Stalled on it, so I need to focus this week.

8. Continue to work on Clemens T-shirt quilt
I have one more piece of sashing to piece.
It is the leader ender for the other T-shirt quilt.

it was a slow week and I had a headache week, so not much was accomplished, well, little things were accomplished.

16 - 22 April 2018

1. Bind CIL

2. Keep working on studio

3. Under Tulle Post Card

4. Organization Challenge

5. Quilt T-shirt quilt

6. WITB
7. Re-trace on background fabric and fuse states to the Map Quilt

8. Continue to work on Clemens T-shirt quilt

Design Wall Monday

Linking to Design Wall Monday.

My main design wall has the next T-shirt quilt on it.
I am working on the sashings.
I think I have one more double star point to add and I can get this one together.
It is for a silent auction, so it is fairly quick.
You can see the other one ready to load
I finally got the backing together and as soon as I press it, I'll load this.
I got frustrated with the state quilt, so it is in the same state a it was last time.
I have to work on it this week, so I'll make a goal to focus on a few at a time.
I know when I get it going, I'll enjoy seeing it come together.
The other design wall looks bare, because I stated on one of the pillows.
I need to get those Irish Stars cut and ready to piece.
the cutting is what takes the time, because it goes together quickly after that,

I didn't have a great week because I had things to do outside the house and when I got home I had headaches that would not go away.
Hoping you have a great week.
