My daughter's Graduation quilt is finally finished.
She saw it every time she came since the end of April and didn't know it was for.
Her comment was "I was going to steal it when you finished it."
Well, it is hers and it is nice that she loves it.
This is one of the Jo Morton projects.
But, it is not her design.
I couldn't find the pattern for these HSTs but found his pattern by Christina Cameli named Sonoran Star Quilt.

While my daughter worked on her project, I cut out two test projects I need to finish the tops this week.
It would be wonderful to finish one fully, but time will tell on that.

Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.

I also helped my daughter with a project for her Master's program.
She wants to depict a social injustice in a wall hanging.
She hasn't done lots of quilting and has never appliqued.
But, she is learning and doing well.
We are using scraps for some of the parts.

Progress was made from last weekend.
All the people and symbols have come from the scrap drawer.

  1. Your quilt for your daughter is lovely. You sure know how to use up a LOT of fabric. Your daughter's project will be quite unique. Hope she enjoys the process.

  2. It's always fun when the quilt you make for someone is so appreciated. The graduation quilt is beautiful. The school project is coming along well. Happy stitching this week.
