Finish-A-Long Q3

1. Baby Clothing - Girl Quilt

This girl baby clothing quilt needs to be finished.
I have stabilized and cut most of the clothing, and now need to sew them together.
I'll be starting with 16 patches and then assembling them.
59 blocks done.

DONE 4. Coasters

5. Baby Clothing Boy Quilt
The top is done, but the girl one (it's for twins) needs done before this one.
Wish I'd known that before I started the boy one first. LOL
I just need to get the backing and quilt this one.
I have the backing for both the quilts, and when I actually get the girl one done, I will quilted them one after the other.

DONE 6. Ann's 2009 NYE Mystery

Guild Charity Quilts

NBAQG Charity Quilt #33

NBAQG Charity Quilt #34

Two more to go.

Long Weekend plans

My long weekend plans were going to start yesterday, but I was called by a friend and we went gallivanting around.
We had lots of fun!

Had lunch at the Gristmill.
This was our view.
We saw and heard folks floating on the river.
The day was pleasant and we had a very enjoyable lunch and visit.
Thank you, Lorena for calling.

We then headed to the Cactus Queen Quilt Shop.

I bought some fabric for DD's apartment items.
It's the gold and burgundy on the left.
Burgundy and gold are difficult to find, so it's good to snatch some up.
I don't know what I want to do with the butterflies yet, but it is beautiful, and I had to have some.

So, I would like to spend today quilting some of the items I need to get done.
I know I won't get them all quilted, but I think I'd like to end the month finishing the quilting on some of them.

This is my list of quilts that need quilting:
1. Test quilt
2. CIL
3. CIL
4. guild charity quilt
5. guild charity quilt
6. guild charity quilt
7. guild charity quilt
8. Habitat for Humanity
9. Habitat for Humanity

Guess I'm having a quilting marathon.

I'll be headed out of town on the 8th, so I'd like to have these done before then.

I'll probably also do something like sew the plastic bag holder and maybe figure out a place-mat or two to make for the apartment.

I like to space the sewing and the long arming out to save my shoulders.

So, what are you working on this weekend?

Sunrise/Sunset postcard.
I love both times of day.

Second T-shirt quilt

I had troubles with this quilt.
It is one that didn't want to be made.
But, I prevailed and it is done.

Charity Bags

Friends attend the Grange quilting group, and I've been trying to get there, but timing has been off.
But, they are making these bags for the Amiga Ministries and I decided I'd make 2 for them.
Even if I don't get there, Lana will take them for me.

I spent most of the morning picking up and cleaning.
the studio is vacuumed and things are put away.
Of course, there is always more to do, but it is better than it was.

I'm transitioning into doing something else.

I'll take the T-shirt quilt with me and finish the binding while waiting on DD.
We need to take care of some of the financial things today.
She is done with classes at 330, so we will have to make it quick.

I'm working on the baby clothing quilt, but I need something else to do at the same time.

As it is, I have lots of long arming to do.
1. Test quilt
2. CIL
3. CIL
4. charity quilt
5. charity quilt
6. charity quilt
7. charity quilt
8. Habitat for Humanity
9. Habitat for Humanity

The charity quilts are about 5 hours of work.

I'm not sure how big the CIL quilts are.

The Test quilt is a large lap size, so not too big.

The Habitat for Humanity ones are larger ones.

I don't have any real plans for the weekend, so I'll be quilting along.

I also want to pull the new UFOs from the challenges and

Owl

My first try at making an owl.
I know I stuffed the ears, but they seem to have lost some of the sharpness.

making it happen

I finished a green pincushion and it is ready to mail.
The chipmunk pillow is done, ready to deliver tomorrow.
All the onesies have cloud ironed on the design area and ready to deliver tomorrow.
The hexagon table topper from Days Filled with Joy is ready to take to DD on Thursday.
It was very easy, so if you want the pattern click the link above.
The banner has the bias tape on them.
It is not in one banner because Lisa is planning on using them around the room and this will give her some leeway.

I have one more thing I'd like to do today.

August commitments

This is the updated status of my August commitments.
Note: this is the same list I've been using, so the changes are in a different color.
blue is the current update.
So many things to be done in August.
I've been given a later date on the baby clothing, which is a blessing.
I will continue to work on it, but am not so stressed out about it.
Other things keep popping up and needing my attention, so this list is actually longer, but I'm only tracking these items.
I've had another item added to this list, which is for DD's roommates for the apartment.
So, some things went to the back burner.
We also spent a couple of days moving her into the apartment.
I also forgot about the embroidery project for a friend, which is almost done.
So, not everything was finished, but lots of stuff was done.
