So, I made a mug rug and delivered it this afternoon.

February UFOs

I just completed the binding on the Stashbuster UFOs #9 & #49.
It's a girl's Easter quilt with leftover baby pieces.
Lots of different pieces and they all went together.
I'm happy to finally get it finished and two UFOs off my list.

Fan postcards

Tried to do dresdan plates and I can't get the points when they are this tiny.
So, embroidery here I come.
Didn't like the definition in this, so quilted it in.

One more swap to go.

February UFO is quilted!

Yeah! The February UFO is actually two of the UFOs together and is quilted.
it is not real big, so I should be able to get the binding on it and done before the end of the month (tomorrow).
I think it turned out OK.

Long Arm

I love that I have a "studio" that is the game room in the home.
It is around everything, but away just enough.
I only wish I had a door to hid when it is really messy.
My long arm takes up the back third of the room and has a light bar.
I hang beautiful things from that light bar.

Today we had lunch with football friends Ross & Martha.
Martha brought me a glass blown heart from Cabo.
Hanging from the long arm light bar.
The photo doesn't do it justice.
Absolutely gorgeous!
I will enjoy it every day

Postcards

I have 4 swaps I need to make postcards for.
I finished these two this morning.
Two more to go.
Hawaii is from material I bought in Hawaii years ago.

Rainbow is rectangles stacked in a rainbow color.
The outside stitching is in rainbow colors too.

CIL

I finally unloaded the CIL quilt that I quilted yesterday.
Had trouble getting a good photo of this quilt.
I will put the binding on tonight and the trip to San Marcos, I should be able to get some of the binding done.

Design Wall Monday

I'm linking to Small Quilts Doll Quilt's Design Wall Monday and Monday Makings.

Wednesday I went to my QOV group and came home with a quilt to finish.
When you are sewing with quilters of all different levels, there will be some challenges.
I took on getting it into a top.
We wanted to use the bonus triangle on a border, but I don't have enough to finish off the border.
I'll add some white to finish it off and then an outside white border.
I hope this one is done this week.
This is Harry Loves Alice that Abbi May's is putting on.
Quilt Kit: Harry Loves Alice from BOM Quilts 60x60
Check out the kit colors.
I am testing it, so I used a FQB (Fat quarter Bundle) I had in my stash.
It's a fun quilt to put together.
I have all the finishing pieces cut and ready to read the instructions and finish it the way Tammy does.

The three little patches on the right were a test to see how the blocks would go together for a guild challenge.
I'll be working on it this week too.

It is good to have something different on the design wall.

February UFO

top is complete.
I have the backing fabric chosen, and will make the backing tomorrow.
The binding will be the colors I used in this quilt.
I'll check my leftover bindings first and if I don't have enough, off to the scrap bins.

February UFO

This is the two UFOs I was working on for February.
If I can get the CIL quilt quilted, I might be able to get this done this month.
That would be wonderful.
It needs pressing and for me to decide what I want to do for borders.

Baby Clothing quilt

I don't know why this is so difficult for me to do.
I think it might be because of how heavy it is.
But, who really knows????

This is on my daughter's single sized bed.

this was my goal for the month to get this into top size.
i can't quilt it until the owner decides on the backing.
I also need to start on the girl baby clothing quilt.

Progress is progress.

this is my OMG and you can find other links here at Elm Street Quilts.

pincushion

Pin cushion swap from Cathy.

Design Walls

I need to frame the 4-patches and then I can get the quilt together.
I'm debating on what color I should use on the pink and green 4 patches.
I think green would be too much, so what to do.
I have the last section almost together.
Then to sew it on the rest of the quilt and it will be done.
I will need to send the Mom a photo to make sure it is large enough.
I have clothing leftover, so I could make it larger.
I won't quilt this one until I get the second one done.

I need to find some light weight blue jean material for the backing.

Design Wall Monday

Baby clothing quilt.
I have a few of the rows done and ready to sew together.
My problem is I have too many leader/ender type of projects right now.
The February UFO is coming along slowly.
I am bordering the smaller blocks and it just takes time to find the scraps in the scrap drawer and use them.
