I have done almost 2 sides so far.

This quilt will be finished in April.

Finally finished the music quilt.

This was another UFO, so that is a good thing too.

Progress

Well, I made lots of progress today.

I finished the T shirt top.

I finished the purple GS top, 

but look at the mess scrap quilting makes.

My cutting table.

Then comes the floor around the scrap bins.

I tried to be neat and then..... 

I quilted the music quilt

The binding is ready to be hand sewn down. 

Today I have to quilt the band T-shirt quilt so I can bind it tomorrow.

Broke a Tooth last night eating a sausage.

Nothing hard to make that happen. :(

I'll see about an appointment today.

Progress

One more strip and the purple one will be ready to quilt.

I need to figure out the backing for this one. 

T-shirt quilt top is done.

I think I know what backing, so as soon as the other one is quilted, I'll get this one loaded.

Big Give

My DD's YOSA (youth Orchestra of San Antonio) is having a challenge.

The Big Give  will be going on for charitable donations on 4 May 2017.

If you are of a mind to help talented musicians have a fabulous musical experience, please consider giving on 4 May 2017 for this event.

The added benefit for my DD is that the group with the most donations will receive an ice cream party.

Sad Day

One of DD's parakeets died this morning.

Progress

T-shirt quilt is coming together.

I and trimming the hst for the corners of the attic window.

I have lots of that lighter blue, so that will be the border.

I think I might try and get a think darker blue border around it to stop the window. 

I have the stars all done and need around 2" left to then cut and put the stars into the purple strips.

I think I have the needed strips, so maybe will get this top done tomorrow.

Will need to see if I want a last purple "border" around the piece.

I'll see how it looks tomorrow.

This mess was crafts, trash, filing, a little bit of everything.

I sorted it and then put it all away.

I seem to be collecting bags and boxes of things.

I find when I don't stay home very much that life takes over my space.

I'm using floral scraps.

I think I have a scrap problem.

There are so many floral scraps that I've not duplicated any fabrics. 

It's becoming a large selection.

I hope I have enough of the background.

Taxes are done

I've been crocheting some, and doing my taxes.

This is from yarn I had for some reason.

I don't have any girl baby gifts that are needed right now.

Taxes are filed, so now I can focus on my quilting again.

I made my maypole post card.

 

I received the easter Joy easter egg post card yesterday.

I have them hanging on a "clothesline" by my desk.

I have a few more to make for later in the month, 

Fabric postcards are fun to make.

I'm not nearly as creative as some of these ladies are.

Help needed

I would love to receive hearts or angels in 6 or 12 inch finished blocks to make a quilt for my Mom while she is on hospice.

Her favorite color is pink.

White background would be good

Hearts and Angels

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in helping me with a quilt for my Mom. She is in hospice and I would like to make another angels and heart quilt for her. The one I made many years ago is wearing out with the nursing home washing it in their hot water.
Thanks for any help.

I have another block cut out, but didn't get the HST made to finish it off.
I hope to catch up this week.

Work on Book It Challenge

I'm working on it, but the taxes took over my life this weekend

I am slowly getting this the size it needs to be. It is about 39 inches wide so far.
I plan to make 3 more of the stars (they are another UFO).
I'll be cutting down about 15 inches across the quilt and adding int he stars.
It will become a nice lap quilt.

Sparkling Sampler
I didn't even cut out Block B yet.

Design Wall

No stash used at all last week.

I really need to quilt something on the long arm and finish something.

I have lots on the design walls.

Purple quilt is from my scraps and the star is one of the UFOs.

I will be using the other pieces to make 3 more stars.

After this one is a gray one and a blue one. 

This is a book it quilt I'm working on.

Not totally sure I love the colors, but it is also UFO embroidery pieces. 

I am going to use an attic windows pattern for the band t-shirt quilt this time.

I will use two blues to frame the T-shirts. 

Bad picture, but this is the next Winter Solstice block.

I hope I have enough background fabric to finish all the blocks. 

Winter Solstice and Sparkling Sampler on the design curtains.

After I file the taxes tonight, I hope to have more time to actually accomplish something.

Finished or Not Friday

I don't seem to be on the computer on Friday, so I'll post today.

This is my book it challenge quilt.

I'm using it as the leader/ender project post of the time.

I have another band t-shirt quilt to make for their silent auction.

I have many quilts that need long armed, so maybe I can get one of them loaded today.

slow week

It was a slow week for sewing.

A busy week for everything else.

I received the thread from Diane.

 Lots and lots of fun threads for embroidery machine and long arm.

My what's in the box had to be dumped to allow us to use the bag again.  :(

Lots of fabric and yarn and good things.

I'll be using the fabric for the gray quilt I'm working on. 

I finished a block from the Winter Solstice blocks.

Two more to go. 

 They are looking very pretty.

Last night I finished the egg collecting apron.

I still have lots more to do, but....a little at a time.
