Super hero

Leftovers from the superhero quilt.

Prairie Moon Procrastination Challenge

My minkee pillow is done.
This will go to my Mom's activities area.

Prairie Moon Cowgirl package

I ordered this in Feb and it came in the beginning of march.  I just didnt show you what was there.
Fun things
I'm going to have my daughter do something with the charms for my scissors.
I needed something fun.

Design

Not much sewing this past week.
I used the long arm, but the design walls stayed much the same.
I have the measurements for the sashing on the sock monkey quilt.
Hope to work on them soon.

UFO Number Challenge

Both Christmas blocks.
Interesting how that works..
I have lots of Christmas fabrics, so I should be able to put these together fairly quickly.
I wonder if the angels should be pillows.

I want the animal prints to be a quilt.
With only 7 blocks, I'll have to be creative.

Batik 9-patch

It is now quilted and ready to be trimmed.  I need to be more awake to do that, so I'll wait until tomorrow.  If I work at it, it will be finished this month!

Finally have it loaded.
Started the quilting on it
Don't' know what to call this, but I liked it.

This is my lovely year of finishes and I don't know if I can get it done.
It's a big quilt and the quilting is lots.
I'll try and see if it happens.

One pass done and I would think it might need 10 passes.
Wish me luck.

Wilder T-shirt quilt

Not a good photo, but I stayed up last night to get it bound.
I needed to be able to have a finish this week.
It was driving me crazy not to.  LOL

T-shirt quilt

T-shirt Quilt is quilted.
Boy did I have tension issues.
I think it was because it was the end of the spool of variegated thread.
I'm going to write the company, because it should not be the norm.
It was quilted with loops and the treble clef thrown in randomly.
I need to trim and start the binding.

I want to quilt the batik 9-patch and get it bound this coming week.

15 minute spiff up

Time to look at your magazines -- keep them and organize them or dump them and use the space for more fabric or?

The choice is yours.

This is my stack of magazines that I've not gone through yet.
I'll work on them this week and see what I can get rid of or put in the magazine holders.

Check your cutting tables and your sewing space.
Are they still clean?  Is stuff creeping back to those surfaces?
If so, do a quick spiff up of those two areas.

My cutting table has things that I'm cutting on it.
My pressing table is has nothing on it but the applique items.
they actually are staying clean.

Praire Moon Organization challenge

This week's task is
Work on your one UFO that is closest to finished

I think I will pick the batik 9 patch.
It is one I want done.
I just hope my tension issues get fixed and it quilts nicely.

This is the quilt.

Organization challenge

Bonnie is also working on organization.  I needed to work on my thread drawer.  I have this one done
Embroidery thread is so pretty.
I have one more place thread is kept, but it isn't used all that much, so it should be in order.

Cleaned out a drawer

Prairie Moon is doing an organizational challenge
it was clean out a drawer week.  I have so many drawers that I just took the next one to do and it was my embroidery stabilizer drawer.
Here is is ready to use the items.
I can see them now.

design Wall

My week was taken up with doing uniforms for the band.
I didn't even get to touch my machines.
I pray this week is better.

15 minute spiff up

Bonnie's 15 minute spiff up is  Time to organize and clean up your thread collection!

Well, I didn't get to the one drawer that needs it much from last week's Prairie Moon's challenge, so I guess I need to get this drawer done
It is a mess.  This is an embroidery thread drawer.

Prairie Moon organization

So, for this week at Prairie Moon it is

Clean out one drawer

So that should be ok, even though this week is just plain crazy.

I got some of my drawers organized, but the one that really needs it still needs it.
this is thread I need to determine if I can use in my machine.
There are matching bobbins there too.
My long arm thread was a mess in this drawer
It is neater and organized now.
Greens
reds and oranges
Pinks

purple and black
variegated and ones that don't fit in other drawers.
White
the top drawer of that set of drawers that holds more than just bobbins.
II think this is the drawer I'm going through.
it has my stabilizer for the embroidery machine.
I'm not sure what else.

Pattern organization

The drawer started like this.
I went through and got rid of 15 patterns.
I found the patterns on the left side and in the front of the right side are actually kits.
I don't have a good place for my kits, so they will stay in the drawer until I do or they get done.
I'd like to make things from these patterns.
I now know more about what is in there, so maybe I will go to them first.

Small group sewing day

Lana started with the photo on the left and finished with the photo on the right.
One flimsy done.
Her second flimsy with a table runner started.
She is putting brown around it too.

Ina finished the center of her tumbler quilt.
Samm sewed our donation quilt top together.
I think we are going to add a red inner border and then a patriotic outer border.
My Wilder T-shirt quilt is sewn together.
This is my March/April Sampler Society UFO.
Monkeying around.
I had a photo of the planned quilt, the 6.5" squares cut and no instructions.
I will definitely have fabric left.
