Birthday postcards

My postcard group sends out birthday postcards.
I'll probably just update this post when they all arrive so they are all in here together.

Miriam sent this one and it arrived on my birthday.

Thinking

As it is prone to happen, thinking happens.
This pandemic is frustrating and if you don't understand it, there is much more frustration.
The Harvard Business Review has an article about grief during this time.
It is interesting to think about what they are stating in the article.

Then, today is Good Friday.
This has special meaning in our Christian lives.
It is a solemn time for us to honor and reflect on Jesus and how he died for our sins.
It isn't such a Good day in the sense that we normally think about it, but it is when looked at from God's viewpoint.
Easter is coming.

Then, as happens every so often, it is my birthday.
With all the COVID 19 restrictions, the celebration won't be like it normally is.
We never do something really big, but we do normally get together as a family for a nice dinner.
That will only be with my husband and me with the stay-at-home restriction.

So, as we are going through this holy weekend, be happy for the good things and remember our Lord for all that HE has done for us.

More Masks

For Marianne
I made one of those doohickies from the extra casing fabric.
I need to figure out how to sew buttons on my sewing machine.
I know it does it, but I don't remember how. LOL
I think those little extenders will be a lifesaver for medical providers.

Quilting is more fun than Housework has us working on scraps.

I can't show a photo of the blocks I'm working on this week because it is for a test quilt.
But, all the animals in the blocks are coming from my scrap bins.
It will be fun to show them when I can.
These are some of the scraps being used.

What is Everyone working on?

I just saw this Wisconsin museum asking for 12" finished blocks.
We could become part of a quarantine quilt that they are working on.
Interesting idea.

I can't show you what I'm working on because it is for testing.

But, both these projects are fun and it's nice to sew something other than masks.

I've watched more TV during this time than normal, so I have to do something with my hands.
So, I've been Crocheting.
I crocheted a cross bookmark

extra small, small and large.

See...they are three different ones.
The large was done with only one strand of yarn, and it is more floppy than the others.
The two strands are harder on the hands, but they were easy to make with good instructions.

What is everyone else working on?
