Memory Quilt

It is really hard to cut into shirts of a loved one, even if it was not your loved one.

They want pinwheels in these color combinations.

It will be in interesting layout with so many of the same colors.

I'll start making the HST and putting the pinwheels together.

After the pinwheels are made, Wendy wants to help arrange them.

I finished 10 stars, only 71 to go. :)

I finished 60 25 patches. only 21 to go.

I'll be taking them down from the wall and starting new.

My friend, Yolanda had her 4th grade class paint fabric and this is what she made.

It was so fun helping her get this finished for an auction.

Busy

Not much sewing going on, but lots of other things

Second Covered in Love quilt done.

Now I need to find a box to mail them back in.

My friend, Tammy, sent me 5 wall hangings that she needed done quickly.

They are so pretty.

I need postcards to send to DD, and she is loving wolves right now, so two wolf postcards. 

Embroidery machine is sounding strange. I'm not exactly sure why.

Trying to troubleshoot it.

I hate machine problems.

One Monthly Goal

DD has asked for a countdown to Christmas door hanging. 

So, I have to come up with an idea.

I have these Alphabet blocks of Christmas fabrics.

So, I figure that will be the basis for the wall hanging "pockets".

November Learning Quilt A Long

I need something to help me along with improving my long arm quilting style.

As much as whole cloth quilts scare me, I am going to commit to trying my skills on the African fabric.

I might try and follow the designs and stitch in the ditch.

I'll see if I'm wanting to do some feathers or something else.

I'm giving myself permission to try new things.

I think I'll be using the reddish type thread, unless I think black or white will work better in places.

Stashbuster UFO Challenge

So, it is that time of month to actually have the Stashbuster UFO Random Numbers drawn.

For November, the small number is

 #9, which is Ashley's art block that I digitized.

It is going to go into her T-shirt quilt, so I'm not ready to work on it this month.

I alphabetize the list, and this one will always be in the top 12.

Hope to have her actually pick out the important ones for one of her T-shirt quilts.

This is a strange UFO, because it was to be tested for them.

But, as I was testing it, I lost track of them and don't get a reply from my emails to them.

It's been a number of years, so

That is Ashley's FQs that she had picked out.

I might have her choose some other pieces and put it together.

It is started as a heart.

Maybe I can put stars with it.
I'll show it next month.
