Rice bags

So, here are some rice bags.

Just needed to fill with rice and sew up the opening.
Done
Need to make one more muslin bag and will have a 4th.
Why did I use this ugly material?

Sampler Society 2015 UFO listing

I did not complete these

Sep/Oct 6 Sun Kissed table Runner #1 - it is ready to work on.

I did complete these.
Jan/Feb Bug Jar Quilt
Mar/Apr Monkey’n Round
May/Jun 5 Dolphin Pillow
Jul/Aug 3 Harley
Nov/Dec 4 Quilters Quilt - Quilt Diva

 My 2016 listing is:

  • Hummingbird blocks
  • Jo's Club retreat teal and brown
  • Maze or Mahjongg
  • Charm Square tote bags (2)
  • Under the Sea
  • Sun kissed table runner #1 -- that's from last year.
We have two months to finish each of the items on the list.  That should be easier than a couple of other challenges.

Quilt Diva Pincushions

This is how it is before you sew it all down and clue it.

These are the two finished pin cushions.
I'm not sure which one I like the best.

Boxing Day goals

1. Don't go into stores.
2. Finish Quilt Diva wooden pincushions
3. Finish test quilt top
4. Take a Walk
5. Start Simply Woven
6. Go have Christmas with Mom
7. Straighten studio

Quilt Diva

Ok, so this quilt Diva square in a square was to be a quilt.
I only have a few of the whites in it and without the white, the contrast is not much.
So, I took one square and some pieces to make these wooden pin cushions.
The circular wood is great for little scissors and pins.
I will use this by my chair for evening sewing.
The rest of the pieces will go into the strip drawers and squares, etc.
I'm not going to make this quilt.
I'll count these two pin cushions as 1 UFO and call it done and off my list.
