Design Walls

My design walls have not had much use, but I'm home with DH now, so maybe I'll get something done.

This is the baby clothing extra quilt.
I have some girl fabrics cut, but I need to cut a few more.

The guild had these donated packages of UFOs, and I took one to finish.
I think it will become a lap quilt with the four patches. I might use the other, too, but time will tell.

I also have the T-shirt quilt ready to load and be quilted.

August to October Accountability

I need to focus on accountability.

This might be too much to plan for in August with DH going in for Cancer Surgery in mid-August, but I have to have a plan.

So, my plans for August October are:

1. Work on Amy's T-shirt Quilt

It is ready to be quilted.

2. Work on Rob's Heart quilt

It is finished and ready to mail out.

The last one of the group is finished and ready to mail out.

3. Quilt QFTIN Guild Quilt

4. Quilt QFTIN Guild Quilt

5. Quilt Storybook Quilt

6. Challenge quilt with Michelle, Ashley, and me.

Michelle calls it the Dammit Ashley Challenge.
We all said we should do a challenge.
We all went to the San Antonio Quilt Show, and Ashley saw an Improv quilt.
She called the Challenge to an Improve Challenge.
We all picked a fabric and had to use it in a quilt.
There weren't any other rules.
Michelle and I like rules, even if we don't always follow them.
Ashley is a free spirit when it comes to creativity.
We hope to show them in November at the New Braunfels Area Quilt Guild.
Michelle is ready to tell us what the next challenge will be.

Memory Quilts

This set of quilts was made for the family of a special friend.
Rob was my son's youth pastor and also worked for me several times.
He was a special person who brought light to every situation.
Jennifer asked me to make these after Rob passed away a couple of years ago.

I first made hers using a cross pattern shaped like a heart.

Next came the three quilts for their children.

This was the last quilt made with the parts from all the shirts Jennifer provided.

I thought a heart quilt with some of the shirts was appropriate.

These were from the T-shirts.

This is the label Jennifer asked to be added to the quilts.
Hers was done in blue, and the children's in red.

I finished these while my husband was in the hospital.
They brought me great comfort.

I found out the children have birthdays in November, so this was in His timing.

I've been working on them for a few years, so they are all UFOs.
