Stash Report 23 April 2023

quilt paint create links to all our stash reports.

My life was fairly busy with health things, so not lots of things were done.

Then, I was scammed, and now I am spending lots of time working on getting my new bank account to the right places for automatic payments.

I did finish a big project, and it was delivered.

This is only the front of one of the two body pillows, and I made t-shirt Tote Bags.

I finished a test quilt since the last report, but can't show a photo of it.
I've started another T-shirt quilt.
This should go together faster than the last one.

This is a tiny UFO for a mini storage bin.
It will go to a traveler that loves sunflowers. 😀

I've had this UFO for too long.
I did the grandmother's flower garden by hand and then machine-stitched it.
It is a memory piece that is going to be framed.
I am making pillows from the remaining clothing.
I'm debating on doing them as grandmother flower garden or a  Zinna pillow.
Maybe I'll do one of each.
That would be fun.

all of my projects have been smaller ones, so I do not have as much as normal usage this year.
I am also not being very good at tracking the days I've sewn because of all the medical problems.
So, I am not tracking that for this year.
I'll start new next year.

Focusing

My main focus this week is getting all my automatic payments changed to the new account.
Remember, if you think it might be a scam, it is!
Don't be lulled into thinking something is not what your gut is telling you.
We are OK, but the pain from processing everything is real.
But I do need to do something creative.

I've had these T-shirts for a long time.
I told Amy that I couldn't get it done quickly, but now that I have the other T-shirt project finished, I need to get this one done.
there are not as many T-shirts, so I should be able to finish it fairly quickly, I hope.

I spent the weekend at Canyon Lake at the Holiday Inn Resort with my daughter for a relaxing time.
We did things like hair masques, facials, pool time, feeding the deer, miniature golf, ping pong, and some diamond art.
We cooked some and ate out some.
It was a wonderful time together.

Progress

   My to-do-list for 2023

2. Memory quilt from Rob's shirts. I have the center done and need to add a border or two to make it a bit larger.

3. Second Memory quilt from Rob's T-shirts. They are cut and stabilized, so it should go fairly quickly.

4. Lillian's baby clothing memory quilt is almost finished. I need to cut more baby clothing and even out the boy and girl fabric. I made her two quilts with her twin's clothing. I am in the process of making her one with both boy and girl clothing in it. I use this one as a leader/ender, and it is growing. I've run out of the boy fabrics and need to cut more.

5. Donna's memory quilt or two, depending on how it goes together. I think I will be doing hers in a heart shape.

6. I'd like to make some memory teddy bears from Rob, Karen, Lillian, and Donna's leftovers.

7. Karen's hexagon memory quilt. I finished the hexagons and stitched it onto the background while on vacation, so it just needs to be quilted.

8. Larger hexagon pillow from the leftover fabrics.

9. Driesbach T-shirt quilt. They are cut apart and stabilized, and there are not that many shirts.

10. Hawaiian pants for Ashley

11. Hawaiian Applique

I finished one part of the Hawaiian Applique.

There are two or three of them.

I need to figure out what I'm doing with all of them.

12. Hawaiian Sashiko

I worked on this the first night at the retreat but nothing after that.

I am working on it while in the car with Randy driving.

13. Off Kilter

16. Christmas Panel - Winter's Eve

FINISHED

DONE 14. Test Quilt

The Test Quilt is finished, but I can't show a photo of it.

It's a diaper clutch.

They are fun to use scraps.

This was a simple pattern but is finished.
