working away

I can't find my camera. I know I had it, so what did I do with it?
Anyway, I finished a wreath wall hanging and it is bound and ready to give.
I've got the Jo's club flying geese wall hanging ready to bind. Been working on it in the car.
I am working on Mom's "The only thing I ever wanted" quilt. I couldn't show you that one because it is Ann Smith's NYE Mystery.
I still have the border on the black and bright. it will be a New Years quilt for Aunt Elizabeth. I love the way it turned out.
I hope everyone is ready for Christmas and enjoying the season.
We are working on getting well and hoping it is a healthy 2012.

It fits my king sized bed and might just stay there for now.

Easy Panel quilt for one of the many baby quilts due this next month

Another baby quilt that is fun. I wish I'd put white between the piano keys, but that will be for the next one. I have a few of these panels.

I love this quilt. So easy to make, and I can see the baby and his brother laying on the floor playing with trains on this quilt. This went to special Girl Scout friend that has been a leader with me for a few years.

A few of the Girl Scouts went and decorated at the inpatient pediatrics ward at the San Antonio Area Medical Center (SAAMC) - it used to be Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) DD is taller than the tree. LOL

I am working on a NYE Mystery that I should have already had tested. :(

I'm also quilting another UFO that is going to our 93 year old aunt in California.

I made a couple of other things, but forgot to take a photo of them. :( Hate it when I do that.

Not had much stash using or reporting lately. So, let's just say I've been lacking in reporting.
I changed my goal to 200 yards, and I have used 158.21 yards this year.
November I've only used 6.12 yards. I would really like to have used lots more, but will be happy with this.

After many hours of piecing batting and backing, this customer quilt is done. Did loops in variegated blues and then the center has loops with hearts. Hope Karen likes it.

Another customer quilt. This one was fun to play with. I tried the new technique for me in the 4 patches (don't know what it is called) and did feathered hearts in the white space. It was a fun quilt to quilt.

Had a run on customer quilts this month. This fun quilting went very quickly. It was done with variegated tans and golds

Another customer quilt. First Christmas quilt to quilt this season. :) Love this design. I used the same thread on it as the brown quilt, but it looks totally different.

One of my own. LOL First baby quilt finished. Just realized I don't need 3, I need 4 by the end of December. What was going on 9 months ago???? Very simple quilt, but I love it.

I'm working on some of my own quilts, but have not finished many yet. Hoping that soon I will get some mojo going and all will work well for me.

DD and a fellow Girl Scout are working on projects together. One pillowcase, one pillow are finished. Took a bit to get the rotary cutter to be safely used. :) They enjoyed it and so did I. (if anyone knows how to turn a photo to get it going the right way, please let me know.)

Last night had Cleopatra, Master Wizard and witchy helping at a church Fall festival.

this quilt was given to the DREAM FACTORY for a silent Auction. This is to help with their sponsorship.

Making place mats for ME! I'm finally making them. Had them ready for years, but finally working on them. I need to finish sewing them together.

I started this quilt at a retreat in 2009. It was not an easy pattern because it was boring. LOL But, I had wanted to make it for my bed. Instead it is going to a friend that is at the end of his battle with cancer.

Vicki digitized this wonderful label. Love the colors.

I had leftover blocks because I was going to make the monster even bigger. So, I made a pillow to go with the quilt. I really like the green and brown together.

One more UFO is complete. 9 yards of fabric was used. Life is good.

In August, we had our red hat group.

DD has started riding again and loves being in the saddle. We also got some rain on this day. DD enjoyed putting the horses up and getting soaked. LOL

Angel Cover Ministries

Not posted in a long time, but I have been doing things. Lost the last post, but I'm going to break these down to my activities.

This quilt is to go to Angel Cover Ministries. They don't have a machine large enough for some quilts. Finally got it done, and now need to get it delivered.

I finally made a start at quilting again. I quilted one for a customer, but I'm not sure I can post a photo of it, sooooo.

Marge Gordon of Delaware Quilts sent me these little quilts for the project at Wilford Hall Medical Center. This is the place where they allow Moms that lose their babies to choose from items. I put quilts in there for their use. I've put 30 in so far and they are all given out. How sad is that? I finished these 3 today. .

One has been delivered and I'll pass the other two off next time I see my contact. I actually have one more quilted and need to finish that binding.

This is the last project I finished for Jo's Club. It still needs to be quilted, and I'm not sure how I am going to do that. These are 1" unfinished logs. Yikes!

This is QOV #98 that I finished this week.

I have 1 more customer table runner to do and 4 more quilts to quilt. I've already got the backing done, so it is just the loading of the quilts and quilting them.

It feels good to be in the groove again.

Slowly getting back

I have been working on getting back into the swing of things, but it is a slow go. Can't get the camera to download one UFO that I finished. Hoping DS can help me with that soon.
Other than that, I have been so extremely tired that I've not accomplished much at one time.
Just found out that I have a virus that take 6-8 weeks to go away. Hopefully it is going to go sometime soon!

Taking it easy

I have to admit, I'm taking a breather. I did do a larger sized speed strip quilt, but decided to cut it down and border it. so, I'm getting 4 little quilts out of the one. All the prints were novelty prints, so it only makes sense for them to be baby quilts.

I have a fun quilt to quilt for a neighbor. Hopefully will get it loaded tonight and quilted tomorrow.

DH goes to the airport today and then it will be lonely and we will need something to do.

Sometimes I wish my brain would not think about additional things that need to be done. :(
So, I decided there were 2, actually 4 more folks I wanted to do something for. So, 2 are made and quilted. They are small, so the binding won't take long and I am going to use a standard label that is already stitched out. One will be some quilting items because I just found out that she was going to focus on learning more about quilting. The last one, I'm not sure what I'm going to do for her. Maybe just a gift card?

I'm quilting away. We went on a drive today and I almost got the baby quilt bound. I have about 3 inches and the 2 sides of the label not on the edge. I'm making progress. Came home and quilted the Momma quilt. That should have binding on it ready to stitch down in about an hour. One more gift quilt that has to be done. The QOVs and Angel Cover Ministry quilts probably won't get done this month, but will early next.

Desig Wall Monday

Judy has us showing what is on our design wall. This pineapple blossom is on my main design wall. I don't like the sashing, so I need to figure out something else.

This red and white quilt is from Marge Gordon's Delaware quilts. I'm making two of this pattern and finished the blocks on this one. Need to press all the hst and get them arranged around the edge. This is on my portable design wall that I took to my small group yesterday.

I am making progress on my list of quilts, and hope to have some finishes soon.

I have been busy and have actually used many of my UFOs.
I finished this Bear in the Woods that I didn't quite finish all the way, but it is the size I needed.
This patriotic blue quilt was a 2008 UFO that was a birthday block swap that I didn't do anything with. Now it will be a teacher quilt. it is quilted and the binding is in process.
This group of quilts had a GS quilt as another UFO and some strips from my scraps. I also quilted for some others.
The dear jane was a UFO that was not mine. No fabric used, but lots of thread was used.

So, I'm making progress on my quilts that need finished by the end of the month.

I have 2 that are ready to put together, so now I need to do that. :)

I also need to work on the labels. They are all digitized and ready to stitch out.

This quilt was made by Marianne and i quilted the aliens in my neon green and black thread. It was fun to quilt.

This is one of my UFOs from 2008. It will become a teacher quilt for the end of school. I'm loading it on the long arm tonight.

Next I need to work on getting another quilt pieced and ready to quilt. Must have one in the binding stage at all times and one ready for when that is done. Makes waiting easier and makes me feel more productive. LOL

This quilt was embroidered by a dear friend of mine, Vicki. I've had it for a long time because it scared me to quilt it. But, I finally had someone suggest stippling between the blocks to outline them. Then, I did feathers in the wedges. I like it. It feels good to have it done.

Too Busy

well, it has been a long time since I've posted anything.

so, I decided on Mother's Day I would. :)

I have spent most of April helping my Mom and Dad because of Mom's fall and breaking her shoulder/arm. so, life has been a bit crazy.

It is coming to the end of the school year and I am really having a load of problems. I have too many quilts to finish.

My Mom had a fall and broke her shoulder, so I've not had lots of extra time. I did quilt 2 quilts this past weekend. This is a going away gift, and I quilted leaves on it.

This one is QOV #94 that I've had for a month. :( I really need to get the second one finished and mailed back to the maker)

I saw this pattern and thought I'd see if I could modify it for a baby quilt. I used only fabrics from my scrap bin. They are cut 2.5" and sewn end to end. I like the way it went together and all the different colors are exciting. Now to get it quilted and delivered. (the baby is already here)

Today DD is home sick with stomach problems. So, I am quilting and trying to get caught up. Will that ever happen???

They had these donated and their machine is not large enough to be able to quilt them. It felt great to quilt again.

I quilted this one for Sandy down the street. The sheep and clouds are so cute.

Tomorrow is my Jo Morton's class. I hope I have all the things cut for it. I get to go on a retreat with the Jo's club in April. What a fun time.

Angel Cover Ministries

DD and I went down to Angel Cover Ministries to see what we could do to help. This ministry touches many children that are fighting their own battles. She uses the help of others to make a difference in lives of children in the area. Sylvia is a wonderful person to visit with. DD and i so enjoyed our time there. We came home with bears and lions to stuff and 4 quilts to finish quilting for them.

DD is talking about using this venue as a way to work on her Girl Scout Silver award. That makes me proud.

Well, I must say I am at a stalemate. I have so much other activities happening in my life that I'm hardly touching my passion. I did make a couple of birthday blocks.

I also made Valentine pillows and table runner for DD's teachers

I quilted this for a friend. I love the colors.

I have so much more I want to do and so little time. Once February is over and Girl Scout cookie season is done, I think I'll have a bit more time.

a bit of good news is DH is coming home in April so I can go on a Jo Morton's retreat. I am SOOOO excited I can't wait.

Merry Christmas to all

We had everyone over for dinner yesterday. It is so wonderful to have family around. Spent a day playing Mexican Dominoes, eating, laughing and enjoying each other.

I've not been doing lots of quilting lately. That is mainly due to family commitments. I have been cutting apart baby clothing to make 2 quilts out of the fabric, and that is taking lots of time. The boys clothing is all cut, except for the sweaters. Thinking I need to stabilize and then cut and sew immediately. We shall see how this works. I'm still working on the girls clothing. Seems she has more fabric, so I'm not sure how the Mom wants to handle the sizing of the quilts.

This Christmas tree wall hanging was going to a teacher, but didn't get done in time. So, I am ahead of the game for next year. These are fun to make. I hope to try a different tree wall hanging for next year.

I quilted this one on my DSM because the backing was just not the right size. It was for a friend down the street. Used gold thread and outlined the boxes and embellished some of the clothing.

Put together a gingerbread house. Only problem, the roof didn't want to stay put. LOL Took us forever to get it to stay in place, but we prevailed! DD enjoyed this project and all the baking we did Christmas eve.

I have been stitching out embroidery designs and quilting QOVs. No photos right now, because I need to get the camera.
I have so much to do around the house with family and friends coming for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. DH will be doing the mail dishes and I'll do the sides. DD will do some baking for it today.
When the kids go back to school, we will have 3 weeks before Christmas vacation. I need all those teacher Christmas gifts finished.

Small Sewing Group

It was a good day. I was only going for part of the day and DS convinced me to stay for all of my therapy. So, I stayed until I had to go to my GS Service Unit Team Meeting.

A sideways version of a green and yellow alphabet quilt. I need to quilt this one and get it delivered soon. I have one more that should be done quickly.

Lana was working on this one with a new ruler that is a twist and turn method. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I also started working on the Christmas tree Wall Hangings for gifts this year. I need to focus and make lots of half square triangles for these items. I have all the other pieces ready to sew. I would love to just continue to sew and get some of these items completed.

This is the little Wilford Hall Medical Center Quilts for those Moms that don't get to bring their babies home. I'm using the String blocks from Heartstrings to do the center and then border with a kid friendly print

These are for one of my few Birthday block swaps. Fall colors are so pretty. I enjoy the contrast on the dark one too.

This baby quilt was another UFO that a friend gifted me with. I did use up 4 of the leftover blocks from Carolina Crossroads. I love this one. It was a gift for DD's Math teacher that delivered in October.

This is not a quilty one, but is for DD's Science teacher that is on bed rest and due in late November.

I quilted these for my friend Tammy. They were used to raise money for her school.

I embroidered these for teachers at DD's school I actually made 8 more than this, but didn't take the photo. Aren't they pretty? The striped towels were difficult to find the right thread for. Then, I ran out of 3 different spools of yellow. :) It was a fun time, since it was the first time I had the machine on since August.

So, I have been doing a few things, but not as many as normal. I hope to change that and post more often.

Well, I was not doing much quilting. I can't believe it has been a month since I posted. But I've painted my DD's room, I've gone to visit a quilting friend, I've had my husband in town from Los Angeles and life took over. I have done some things, and hope I can remember them. These little pincushions were for a swap, but didn't get mailed in time, so I'll figure out something else to use them for. These were made from bonus hst. Finished size is half an inch. What was I thinking????

My big project was a scrappy quilt for my DH. I've been working on this one for over a year now. It is one of my UFOs. I was stalled on it and overwhelmed, but worked on it while I was vacationing in San Pedro. I quilted it when I got home and just finished up the binding yesterday. DH says it is now on his bed in Los Angeles. I'll be with him every night because of the quilt. :)

I visited a friend in Medina and this is one of her quilts. She wanted hearts and stars meandered around the quilt. Got it done this week.

When I got back to the school, we found out that a dear teacher has breast cancer and is going to start chemo and radiation soon. One of the people there had these two tops ready and I quilted them with large meandering. They will be tied with prayers. This is a prayer quilt. Front and back.

This is a quilt Vicki made for Jessica. It is so pretty. I enjoyed quilting it

Tammy made this quilt for a wedding gift. I quilted hearts all over it. Got it mailed off earlier this week, so hope it is to her in time to finish for the wedding. Very pretty fabric.

This is another piece made by Tammy. It is a Christmas wall hanging. I had fun trying new things on it. I did loops and outlined the squares. I need to get more control over my long arm to made it more accurate.

This is the panel for the dolphins I wanted to make DD a quilt with. But, DD was NOT thrilled with the colors. Yikes, she always loved bright colors. Now it is BLUE and only blue. LOL So, I'll just have to work on that blue dolphin quilt. How boring. LOL

This is the blue dolphin fabric I found. I am trying to figure out how to do tiny snails trails to go around the center block, and then something creative for the rest of the other panel. I don't know that the fabric to the far left is going to work in this quilt, but I can hope. I'll be using the black for much of the background.

One of JoMarie's friends gave me most of this fabric. I'll use it in scrappy quilts. The crushed walnuts are being used in pincushions.

I thought this was a fun pattern. Hopefully I'll get to work on it this year. I needed COC, WOW, white backgrounds. I was running very low on them. I also had not brought any with me, so I needed some for DH's quilt. The Christmas panels were also given to me by one of JoMarie's friends. Nice friends. :)

These are more scraps from Barbara. I found the cupcake pattern on the quilt shop run I went with JoAnn, Terry, Sabrina and Linda. It is so cute. The color/color hst are more that I cut while in San Pedro.

These are the books I found at all the different shops I went to. Aren't they fun. Most were 40% off.

This is a kit that I kept walking past in the Quilting Bee in Orange, CA. I just had to have this kit. It has applique on it, but I want to try it. I hope I get to it this year too.

These came from the 40% off store that is closing. i love Kincaid, so I will have to figure out what to do with these 2 panels. Maybe a Christmas quilt. I thought I could do something in the blue dolphin room that reminds DD of her horseback riding too. LOL

This is a mixture of given fabrics and bought ones. The ones on the right hand side are what I got to go with the bright dolphin fabric. Oh well, they will be used.

These are all the trimmed hst that I've been working on all summer. The other color/color one should have been in the photo, but it was packed elsewhere at the time. LOL I still have a cake pan sized box to finish trimming. There are lots of usable pieces here. I'll just need to figure out a pattern to use and it will be fun, because they are already made. I am making pincushions out of the smallest ones (1" unfinished).

Declutter

Wow, Tabitha has an idea for 2010. I think I will try this out. Of course, I'm not at home, so that makes things a bit interesting. But, I can try and remember the things I've accomplished so far this year. So, does a quilt finished count as one item??? I'm thinking that might be a start if it went out of the house. All the thing I gave to scouts to get the year finished will help too.

JoMarie and her friends are wonderful to work around. I had loads of fun quilting with them.

These are two of the store samples JoMarie made. Aren't they fun? They are awesome in work and one didn't even have batik in it. :)

I love this red, white and black quilt.

A fun sampler they were all working on. The label for this one was an amazing embroidery.

She was making pillowcases for a birthday party. Lots of them.

She finished this one and I love stars. The colors are not true in this photo. It was more blue.

My bonus pieces from the yellow and lavender quilt. I didn't bring along the other fabric to finish this one, so I'll wait until I get home. This will become another one of the baby quilts for Wilford Hall's high risk pregnancy unit.

Jo's Club project

I forgot to show my next border on Jo's Club I love the effect of turning the quarter square triangles. They are so pretty. The next border is flying geese. I think this is the smallest quilt with so many pieces that I've ever done.

I finally finished the applique that was supposed to go in the center of the Jo's Club quilt. I'm not a big fan of applique. But, for my first true applique, I'm happy with it. Now, I need to square it up and put the other borders around it. I'll be waiting until I get home to do that part.

Wow, if you are tired, you should NOT trim hst. I almost cut myself. Well, I did, but it was just a tap on the blade. I immediately put away the rotary cutter. Scared me. I'm actually seeing progress while on vacation.

This is where we were this past weekend. Between travelling to and from places, we spent the night in a wonderful TLF (transient lodging facility) on Travis AFB. I had a table at a good height and trimmed hst while I read e-mail.

My trimmed 1.5" hst are almost out of their container. So, I bought another container for 2.5" cut hst and will be adjusting their new homes.

Tomorrow I get to go quilting with JoMarie again! YES!!!

I need to figure out what I'm going to work on. I need to finish the borders for Randy's quilt. The plan right now is to use the shirting from Marianne and the blues from my stash. I should probably cut more of my blues. I'd love to finish it here, but I'm not sure I'll be able to find a long arm to quilt it on. If not, finishing the top will be an accomplishment.

hst pressed

I have pressed all the hst I brought with me. I thought I'd brought my ocean waves extras and was planning on working on it while I was in CA. But, I can't seem to find the package with the white and colored hst. I have plenty of the colored and colored hst. So, I'll keep on trimming and if I find enough, then I'll use them. I found a photo of the ocean waves blocks I've been working on and will be able to follow that pattern. I definitely have lots of hst -- especially 2.5" ones. :)

I'll be able to go to a quilting bee with JoMarie on Thursday. That is my day to myself and other quilters!!!

That will be lots of fun.

Now, I need to figure out how to organize these hst to make sure I have them available to use when I need them.

I feel good about getting them pressed, because if I were not on vacation, i would probably not have come this far.

Can you see how I've taken over DH's living room? LOL I made myself a design wall with his sliding door curtains. I did finish this quilt the first night here. This is going to the maternity ward at Wilford Hall Medical Center for the high risk pregnancies.

This is a QOV I finished quilting when we returned from Washington, DC. I finished the binding while driving through California.I need to get a location for it and mail it off.

Finished the binding on this love quilt while driving across Texas to Arizona. This is the pink quilt that needed to become purple.Not exactly what I wanted it to turn out to be, but it used some swap blocks and was from blocks sent for the love quilt and all the rest was from my stash! The swap blocks were UFOs for a purple quilt I was making. they instead went in here. One more UFO done for the year.

My goal this summer is to gain control over the bonus HST and get them ironed and trimmed to a usable size.

This is the already trimmed blocksI have 1", 1.5", 2", 2.5" & 3.5" HST so far. So, needless to say, I have a long way to go.

I finally finished the lavender and yellow baby quilt.
The quilting is loops with the animal outlines in each square.
They pick it up tomorrow morning.

Museum day

Instead of walking all the way from the metro to museum, we took a bike cart. Poor guy needing to carry all 3 of us.

Went to the Native American Museum. That is much newer than some of the others and well kept. There were also fewer people there. DD enjoyed it so much, especially all the statues and videos.

Then off to the air and space museum, which I thought had not been well kept. The part she loved was the hands on part about lift and how things worked.

We had an early day in. All our feet hurt from all the walking. So, we had dinner at the Crystal City mall and back for a swim.

Vacation time

Well, we are together in DC. You can see the sites we went to yesterday. It was lots of walking and getting to the monuments were a bit away from each other, but we saw the monuments and had a good day.

Ended up doing dinner with my best friend that I've known for lots of years.

It was field day at DD's school, so I helped out with that. Learned a new game -- Newcomb. Volleyball with a twist.

Then, we had to go shopping for shoes.

After that I came home and put together a dog outfit for DD's play tomorrow. She was a kangaroo and now is a spotted dog. LOL

But, these are the quilts I finished yesterday.

This is an old UFO. They were swap blocks I didn't know what to do with. DD wanted her teacher to have a yellow and green quilt and picked these blocks. I always start with my UFO cabinet to see if anything I've already started can be used for a gift. I had to make one more block to finish off the quit. The batik was just not very appealing to me, so I used the yellow sashing to brighten it some. It became larger than I expected, but i used all the green swap blocks. :) This is the label DD "wrote"

sewing weekend

I still need to get photos of all the things I accomplished this weekend, but I finished the green UFO that has been hanging around for awhile. It is a teacher gift, so that is a wonderful accomplishment.

then, I finished the hidden wells quilt. This is a new start because DD said the quilt I'd made was NOT blue enough. So, this one is mostly blue and is finished.

They are in the wash ready to be given to the teachers. I think we will probably do it on Wednesday to be away from the crazy times.

Now, I need to start working on the lavender and yellow baby quilt. If I'm lucky, I can have it done before I leave for DC.

I have been working on this quilt on and off all week. It is the last of the teacher quilts. So, now I need to get the backing together and quilt it.

Then, the binding on the 2 quilts and I will have all things done. This is all from stash, and so is the other one. It is another UFO, so that is even better.
I took a few minutes off and did some funny TP embroidery. I have a few folks these should go to. LOL

Weekend sewing

Well, there is an interesting site to go to for Memorial Day Sew in. we are going to be sewing and updating our blogs with the results.

So far this weekend, I've been embroidering Toilet Paper. Thing this is an interesting gift, and we shall see how many I do. LOL I truly think it is a funny gift.

I am also working on teacher quilts and have the binding ready to go on the one. I need to do the label too.

I've started working on the blue quilt and feel confident it will be completed this weekend.

Though, Saturday is probably going to be Fiesta Texas with the kids. Then, it will be my time. :)

I finished quilting the watermelon quilt. I did watermelons. I liked the larger pieces more than the wedges.

After this quilt, I only have one more for pay quilt to do. Well, that is not true. I have another QOV, but it will wait until I complete everything else.

I have the one teacher quilt almost put together, and then it will be making the backing and getting it done. Then, one more to do.

quilting away

I'm chipping away at all the things I must have done this month.

I quilted one of Lana's quilt. I did a modified feather/swirl in the center of each block and then a loopy border. I am not sure I like the loops, but the feather/swirl is cool.

I did clouds on the flamingo wall hanging. This is for the woodland oaks community room where we hold our small group.

So, now I need to finish one more of Lana's quilts and make 3 for me and quilt them. Time is running out.

I still need to sew on the binding on 3 quilts, but they are ready to do that with. maybe I'll do that for the next 30 minutes before I go get DD from school.

I'm making progress, but not quick enough for me. LOL

I am now going to quilt the love quilt that is long overdue. I hope I can get this one done quickly and bound. Need to get the label stitched out.

I did get to quilt yesterday and today. Very little stash used, but at least I am having some wonderful therapy. This is a love quilt that started out as a pink quilt and now is more purple. I'll be quilting it with purple thread. Hope it will provide some comfort. This will be a stash buster, and a UFO finish.

I quilted two (2) Quilts of Valor (QOV) quilts. 2 more to go and send off. I'm loading a third tonight. Might not get it quilted because there is a storm brewing here.

I will have another QOV coming on Thursday from someone else.

I did some testing of embroidery a cute little goldfinch, a fun flamingo.a fun bread basket, a pie plate that I can't seem to get to turn the right way, a honey pot, and I made 2 heartstrings labels.

I stitched out 2 labels for friends.

Here is a heartstrings quilt that I made for the Wilford Hall maternity ward for high risk pregnancies. Such a sad time in a woman's life, and maybe these little quilts will help her move on. I just need to put on the binding. I need a photo of the boy heartstrings I made with lime green centers.

Well, I had so much trouble with my old (3 years old) embroidery machine that I decided to upgrade. This is my new baby. Isn't she pretty? I should be playing with her, but I fell at the store and I'm in so much pain that I can't even think. But, soon, I will be able to play and have lots of fun.

I've been quilting. The blue and white quilt is quilted with flowers and stippling. I have the binding half done on it, so should be finished soon.

I did a quick baby quilt for the Wilford Hall babies. Binding ready to sew down on that one too.

I have the purple and pink quilt ready to put together. That should be done soon too.

I think I have the pattern I want for the Dear Jane quilt. It has been difficult for me to figure out the right pattern.

quilting on my birthday

Well, my small group was cancelled today because they are redoing the room. It will be wonderful when it is done.

So, I've been doing my own frenzy at home.

I finished a post card and I didn't take a photo of it.

I made a birthday block. Another churn dash.

I finished my patriotic heart wall hanging that has been a UFO for many years. So, that is a good thing to finish. At least one UFO a month is the plan. Hoping it is more than that, but one a month will be great.

I'm working on a love quilt now. This is pink and needs to turn out to be more of a purple quilt. I am putting a checkerboard border on it to help with the purpleness.

I'm also trying to determine the quilting for a Dear Jane that is embroidered. I think I have the border figured out and if I can do the outlines, I have the center figured out too.

What a perfect day this is going to be.
Went to see How to train your dragon and now I'm quilting a QOV. I loaded it this morning and have the green thread ready to go. This will be the last QOV I have in house.
