2 more table runners quilted

Ok, I don't have photos, but I have quilted 4 total table runners.  One is almost bound and one has binding on the front and 2 are just quilted.  I have 3 more that are done that I need to quilt and bind.
I hope I can get these done soon.

I'm worn out with all the stress of the week.  But, it feels good to quilt.

No sewing this week

I've been working band activities and taking care of Mom's financial situation.
I still have 7 table runners to get done this weekend.
I hope to take time to quilt a couple of them so I can work on binding tomorrow at horse back riding.
I need to make some calls for the weekend event, but other than that I hope to be free.
Wish  me luck.
I'd also like to work on this a bit.
I want to go through the UFO cabinet and see if I have any other signature blocks.
I know I have some 4 patches that would fit in here too.
I need to play and see what I already have available to me.
Right now, I wish I could sleep.

Design Wall Monday

I was gone most of the day, so I just now am getting this up.
These are 4 signature swaps I have had sitting around from 2004/2005.
I will need to rearrange things and make fillers, but I think it could be a fun quilt.
This is also the UFO #4 for the Sampler Society.
I'm ahead a bit on it.
I'm not too sure how I will put this together with all these different sizes.

Small sewing group

I started the day off making my coasters.
These are my favorite gifts to make.
I  needed 3 sets of 4 for teacher gifts.

Lana was working on setting this quilt together.
It is going to be a king sized quilt.
She got it all laid out and ready to sew together.
Lots of work.  I like this combinations!
The rest of the teacher gifts are table runners.
So, this is one of my UFOs and used 3 of my orphan blocks.
This is another of the star UFO
It used another 3 orphan blocks,
Judy was working on a baby quilt.
Looks like she has enough for 2 baby quilts.
These are such fun and happy blocks
 A patriotic UFO.
The border is wild, but I like it.
Used 3 of my orphan blocks
This is a disappearing 9 patch UFO.
I like Judy's idea of green cornerstones.
Used 4 of my orphan blocks
I think these might be depression blocks.
I like the purple being brought out.
This used 3 of my orphan blocks.
So, hanging on my long arm are the 5 table runners I made today.
I have another one that DD didn't want me to add additional borders.

LBT UFO Done

Finished the binding on Let's Blame Trudy UFO.
Not my favorite quilt, but I love the colors in the center.
One more UFO off my list and a quilt that will be ready for a new owner.

What wonderful kiddos

So, the story goes...on our way to eat last night we stopped by an antique shop selling quilts 40% off.  I looked and loved this drunkard's path, but DD decided she loved the old trumpet and DS decided he loved the old flute.  So, $200 later I walked out with 2 instruments and no quilt.

Today, DS comes over and brings this to me.

It has some wear, but it is beautiful.  It is hand quilted.
I just love it.  Now to fix it and put it on the extra bedroom bed.
I told DD about it and she says, yes I knew and I can keep a secret.
Guess they plotted this one out.
I do have some special kiddos.

Organization

OK, so last time I posted this I got how horrible it looked.
I actually think that having my scraps in a drawer by color is very organized, but some don't.
I spent some of the day doing labels to make it look better.
I found a second purple drawer, which means I need to make another purple quilt.
It would be interesting to know how many quilts could be made from this set of scraps.
It's a never ending battle to use them up.
I seem to make more when I make a scrap quilt.  LOL

top done

The borders are on the quilt.  Woo Hoo
I now need to figure out the backing and get it loaded on the long arm.
This is my UFO #3 for Sampler society.

First border

I finally just did the small inner border.
Why does it take me so long to just do it?
This is my UFO #3 for the Sampler Society UFO Challenge.
I cut the borders for the outside and will work on that in-between things tomorrow.
I really would like to load and quilt this sometime this week.
Of course, the week is fairly busy, so who knows what is going to happen.

Well, it was a day that I accomplished something, but not what I had planned.
DD has been waiting on this new purse.
She likes it this size, and it has been tailored to what she wants.
She picked the fabric and I put it together.
Took me all morning, but here it is
She even used it today.
When we went to the ceremony for her Silver award.
She finished it last school year, but we missed the celebration time, so the two girls received it today.
I had so many plans, but I came home and took another nap.
I have got to figure out what is making me so tired and fix it!

With May madness, I really feel I did OK.  I now need to get my stamina back and be able to get a couple of quilts done this next week.

It's a secret

So, I can't show what I'm working on.  :(
It's for a magazine for a friend of mine.
I really would like to show to get some advice on how to quilt it.  LOL
It is just a table runner, so it should not take that long once I figure out what I'm doing.

It is storming here and is nice and cool.

Eagle wall hangings

this one is bound.  Wanted to do an embroidered label, but they will not transfer.
So, on to printed labels.

Quilted the last of the Eagle Wall Hangings, for now.
Have the binding 3/4 done on the second one and need to trim and add the binding for this one.
DD designed the layout.
It's storming here and I'm tired.  Makes me want to take a nap.

Design Wall Monday

Nothing new, but I would like to finish these two.
The eagle needs quilting
The LBT on the left needs a border of some type, I think

Quilting done

This was fun.  Did some loops and echo quilting.

This one was more stitch in the ditch.

This is more echo stitching.

Final eagle wall hanging

DD designed this one using the other 2 pieces.  I'm not sure her thoughts, but it is unique.  :)
This will be for the parents that have 3 eagle scouts.

Here are all 3 together.
Now to quilt them.

Second Eagle wall hanging top done

This is the second one.  Different, but alike.  They are for twins, so....

The two together.  I'm partial to the blue one, but I'm sure the young man with the camouflage one will like it best.

I have one more to make.

Eagle Scout wall hanging

One of Two Wall hangings I need to make.
It's a tad bit dark, but it's hard working with camouflage fabric.
These are actually Embroidered UFOs that have been hanging around for years.
I have 2 more to go and the eagle embroidery will be gone.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

I wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day!!!!
Hope you have a SEW special day.

Binding away

Very little quilting going on during May madness month.  LOL
I am binding the quilt, and I made lots of pinwheels for decoration for the gifts.
Had concerts from 5-9 last night
Have concerts from 5-8 tonight.
Tomorrow is the band banquet.
Then comes the Mother's Day brunch at the nursing home.
Then, may I please sew on Mother's Day?

T shirt top done

After a little calculation difficulties, I finished the top.
I have the backing made.  You can see it in the bottom left corner.
Now to get the batting cut and load it.  I hope to at least get the top loaded and finish it up tomorrow.

black border

After a long Girl Scout meeting where it was the battle of the wills,
Added the black border.  This fabric has music notes in it.  :)

T-Shirt quilt center

I have the center done and need to run an errand.
I will put a black border on it that has music notes on it and then I need to determine the outside border.
I have the other side of the shirts that I might add to the outside border, but I'm not sure if I want that or do this layout.  I need to play with it an see.

1 of 6 done

this is the completed block.  One thing I would do differently is to not have partial seams.  When I figured it out, I should have laid the blue pieces different to allow ease of sewing.
I think it will be OK.

Stash Report

No changes at all this week.

T-shirt quilt

It's started!!!  I am having some design challenges for me.  I need to spread them out more, and it will happen as I cut more pieces.  I won't sew it all together until all the pieces are placed.
I think the blue is going to add to the quilt with all the black t-shirts.
This is the design again.  I'm using a directional for the yellow, so that is going to take some thought.

Star quilt

I had lunch with my friend, Lorena, and she told me she had seen on my blog my blue and green star quilt.
I've been trying to get this one quilted for a long time.  I just don't seem to make it happen.
I now know why.  Lorena, of A Thread of Scarlet, wants to custom quilt this quilt.  She said it might take her some time, but it is taking me time to just get it loaded.  I love her quilting and would really love to own a quilt quilted by her.
So, now to get it to her for her to quilt.  Thank you, Lorena.

Normal but strange

Yesterday was a proud day when my son was inducted into The National Society of Leadership and Success.

Today was supposed to be spent sewing, but it was spent horseback riding

and then shopping with a girl.  LOL
We found her an outfit for the banquet and I found a skirt.
She found shoes, more than the one pair, and jewelry.
So, we then had to do to Wal-Mart and got the gift card for the band banquet and got more jewelry making items to make her a bracelet to go with the jewelry she found.
I'm home, but I'm doing the laundry, cooking dinner and then maybe I can sew.  Time will tell, but I HAVE to get this done this weekend.
